Loved BL3 and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, more so than 1 & 2. Looking forward to this.

The thing that makes or breaks the game for me is the vault hunters' skills. I don't really care what they look like, nor whether the story is awful but if the main skills are rubbish then I won't want to play. e.g. In Borderlands 1, I never played as Brick, 2 never played as Salvadore, TPS never played as Nisha. It would be interesting to see if other BL players have certain characters they never played as.

It looks....fine. The need to get back to fully cell-shaded like in the first 2 games,this "realistic" cell shading ain't working for me.

But just what is it with these terrible ass character designs in this entire industry. Are they racing eachother to see who can deliver the most bland and uninspired diversification!? It's become a parody of the joke it initially was.

Maybe that's the joke that we are all just not getting...like a perpetual punchline that doesn't hit and just gets more and more annoying with each new try.

I totally get the love for the previous entries. As the writing and stories were much better. But its the gunplay for me that I love in Borderlands. And 3 for me was much better. On console at least the controls felt a significant step up. And whilst not very nuanced, I enjoyed the haptics and adaptive triggers too. It also has excellent HDR.

I never return to BL2, but I'm always going back to 3. Not for the story, but the guns and how they handle.

I'm still holding out hope Ava is the bad guy in this one.

Looks like every other borderlands they have brought out. Loved the first couple, but the others were very meh.

A lot of work was put into Borderlands 3 by Gearbox, things like equipment management, the guns, the alien worlds unfortunately it doesn't get recognized like a Call of Duty or recognized by the gaming community. I’m looking forward to BL4.

Characters look awful, but that's from BL3 so it's nothing that can be done at this point, as long as they dial down the milllineal le funny dialogues and constant yapping of every character it will be an improvement, BL2 reigns supreme tho

I don't think we will ever get a Borderlands 1 ever again. It's atmosphere was just so perfect. And getting a great gun felt like an accomplishment. Trailer just tells me it's more Borderlands 3.

My theory beforehand was that the Eridians was gonna return in this game and not be to happy with what we were doing to the vaults. Seems like i was right.

But yea the game does not look good. The Cell shading that once gave these games their identities is working against it now. And those new vault hunters are seriously cookie cutter.

Love it. Because they didn't have any "interesting" powers (they basically just upped their melee/gun attacks) I never had any interest in them.

I mean the first 3 looks fine. Even if i cant tell what the girl is supposed to be (another Siren? Haven't we found all by now?) and the guy on the left just looks like a Handsome Jack reskin. The only way they would get away with that girl on the right though is if she is a parody of modern female character design. And considered how hard Gearbox failed at parodying "influencers" with the last game. I doubt they succeed there.

People are saying the new Vault Hunters look like random NPCs because this might be a "create your own character" game, but this would go against their sorry excuse for a lore about the Sirens, so...
Although I guess having random Sirens start popping up everywhere, like the Psychic Awakening in 40k, could be interesting?

I'm slowly watching the Nintendo direct and they mentioned Borderlands 4 for 2025.
No one has said anything about this game since last December?

BL3 is a great game with a crazy variety of locale and skills and weapons but it got shat on very justifiable for the script which was unfunny and preachy as fuck. I still remember they promised to go after websites and magazines who misgendered the robot lol.
