So I realised I wasn't rebuilding this Norende Village place while I should have been, but after starting and getting the shops going etc I realise... I don't know where the fuck this place is... How do I buy from these shops? lol

:O really, I didn't see that mentioned.

It doesn't even mention Jobs immediately upon starting. Imagine how far down the scale Auto-Battle is. =P

I found it by testing buttons in battle. (Was actually looking for a fast forward button at the time)

From the Adventurer guy where you can also save your game.

Auto-Battle is activated by pressing Y during battle.

Are you serious? Haha oh man, mechanically this game is pretty much perfect. It'd only need skills learned from equipment, which is a mechanic I absolutely love, but I think jobs will do that part just fine.

I literally cannot wait!

In the western dungeon/cave, there's an Adventurer that says 'It'll only gets worse from here in'. Is there a secret passage or hidden floor, because I can't seem to go further than there.

color me jealous, any word on with North American Eshop will get the demo?

This. Someone?

Its Project X Zone all over again. ;-;
You'll probably get it 2-3 weeks before it releases in the US, cause atm it's how far away we are from release.

Nah, they are basically there to sell Norende merchandise and for you to save before fighting any bosses. Have you gotten the mini boss quest for there?

It has a bossfight when you accept the sidequest in town, I think it was the 3rd sidequest.

Loving the demo, dual wielding ninjas ftw!

Can't wait till I get the full version next month.

Nope, didn't went to the north and south dots because a npc said those were much more difficult. I guess I can find some of those quests there? :)

nvm: didn't saw the comment above me. Time to search in the town a bit better. Only did the beast oil (or whatever it was) quest.

------

My current set-up is: Knight, Black Mage, Ninja and White Mage. Still trying to figure out everything, but so far it's an amazing experience and an awesome demo. :)

Is there an advantage to being a white/black mage rather just being a red mage?
The other mages will have access to the higher spells, in this demo for example level 3 spells can only be used for their respective jobs.

You get new quests per ones you finish, so gotta get kill the panther for oils first, then kill those globlins(?) at night before that mission comes out. In order of enemy difficulty it's the desert, west cave, east forest, south ruins.

I want to play it like a FFV Job Festa...

So many random jobs / hard jobs runs possible oh god !

This game takes so many things I loved about jrpg when I was twelve, It can't come soon enough.

Also : oh god valkyries are good

There is a NPC in the city near the magic shop which give you 1 villager after you defeat the dragon, don't forget to talk to him.

Is this demo specific content? I want to try the demo when it comes out in NA, but I dont want to ruin any of the games story quests.

Valkyrie are so good. They learn great abilities too, so I took my Knight through the job as well so he could get Crescent Moon since it hits all targets for the same damage as attacking them individually.

Huh. So what's the point in the red mage then?
Red mages are for people who want a versatile spell caster that can cast both Black and White magic, which basically makes them the jack of all trades, master of none mages.

So tempted, so very tempted at each one in fact XD

I'm playing that like it's he full game, trying to grind to death lol.. I'm starving for good jrpg..

I'm not sure i get the battle system yet. How does it affect you after using 4 turn in one. Cause i didn't notice a clear marker to show me how the enemy will play more after that, especially if he's slow.. I'm not sure i see the point of NOT using all those turns in one right now.

Playing the demo.

First impression: A demo with save slots? Interesting.
Second impression: Is that guy called Ringabel?

But this is pretty much oldschool Final Fantasy, as far as i can tell. And that's a good thing. Still just wandering around the world map, hoping to spawn some imps for a blue quest. I saw there's a dungeon down south, but i don't want to go there unless directed to.

Actually... where AM I going, anyway? Is there a "This is what you're doing." log anywhere in the game?

So, anything good in classes for the demo? Running Knight, red Mage, ninja, Swordmaster at the moment, but I'm not entirely sure if I want to keep it like that. It's a job system, mix-and-match probably is the way to go.

Oh, and the fairy on the bottom screen in the menu is cute. And then I found out you can play with her by tapping the screen. That doesn't make her less cute.

Talk to all the villagers until you find one who gives you a quest. Complete the quest and find another villager with a quest.

They must have something else going for them, since in this job system you can master White Mage, then change to Black Mage and still use Level 3 White Magic spells (Or vice versa).

Right. Hunting Imps for a quest right now. Guess it just became a bad night to be a silly goat-headed demon-thing.

Is there a downside to just novaing enemies on the first turn with Bravery? I think I read somewhere that the turn penalties carried over from fight to fight, but I don't see them do that in the demo.

Nope, it's actually better. You get bonuses for defeating enemies in 1 turn and without damage.

If you lose track of the quest you're on, open the menu and the fairy on the bottom screen tells you.

If your Brave points fall into the negative, that character/enemy cannot make a until you it goes back to 0, so if you don't kill the enemies when you've used them up you will have screwed yourself over.

Blue imps appear at night only, wait around till night then start wandering.

Best to mix and match jobs if you want, better to level the job levels to gain abilities etc.

For example when you max out Performer they gain the Buff up ability which gives you buffs to attacks and defence both physical and magic. Your character will buff up after each turn by 5% untill the buff potency is at 150%. Place that on your character's support abilities and it'll be there for all job classes etc.

Well I think it's more of a choice for people that want magic abilities for a job classes yet don't want to only be able to only use white magic/black magic by itself and restricting to yourself to the Mage jobs.

Nah I interpreted that wrong, penalties don't carry through.

You can give them the Job Command but you can't give them the specialty that is tied to the Job. Red Mages have a 25% chance to get +1BP when they take damage.

Stats wise they are different to the other mages as well. (When changing jobs there is a Stat Changes tab in the lower screen for comparisons).
Red Mages have an A rank in Swords (Black has S in Rod, White has S in Staff).
They have B in a lot of weapons while the other two are mostly in the E's.
Red Mages have C in Shields, Helms and Armor.
Red Mages have lower Int score but slightly higher in a lot of other areas such as dex, agil, str, etc.

I suspect they will unlock some useful passive abilities later, even if the class itself is not that great.

Tips for grinding, south west of the tower (head south from the town) there is a beach, 6 green ennemies per battles, use 3x Brave and thunda(ra) and profit.
Leveled from 13 to 20 in about 15 mins.

I can never attack these guys before half of them run away :/

Any chance you are using equips suited/unsuited to mages? Cause if they're unsuited it slows you down.

Also you two will be my ablink buddies ;P
Using an S rank Rod on my Black Mage but I've yet to find anything else without just neutral rank on her yet. Might have been that shield slowing her down, I'll remove it and see.

Sure thing! :)

Edit: Without the shield I'll sometimes go first, but not always. Just had 4 of them run away before I got a chance to strike, for example. When the battle before I got in my attack before they could make a move. Weird.
