Bungie's 20th Anniversary Vidoc

Hour long? Fucking hell! Watching now, this has got to be good.

Awesome. I look forward to watching. Dunno exactly when I'll have time though.

Any subtle hints about the new franchise or anything?

Aw I'm going to get all emotional, I just know it. I hope they drop some decent hints on their new project.

Nostalgia overload. Lots of archive footage I hadn't seen.

Good to see Jason Jones again. He's aged - it's been a while.

Just got done watching. Incredible how time has flown by. So many memories brought back to the surface. Wishing Bungie all the best, <3 you Bungie.

I'm not gonna go into a rant, but:

"Reach is the ultimate Halo" Not quite.

Greatest feature set out of all the Halo's? Yes.

Ultimate? No. Not that I can say any of them are, they each had their own strengths and weaknesses.

Regardless, lovely ViDoc.

I hope their partnership with Activision works out, cause without Bungie Zayne would go crazy.
They made a deal with the devil?

Yeah, I can see how that will work out.

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6327158/new-bungie-game-codenamed-tiger-logo-confirmed

The news stems from Bungie's 20th anniversary video titled "O Brave New World," which released today and speaks about the developer's history and future. In addition to offering the codename for the project, the developers teased the new project further.

"You feel responsible for not just telling an isolated story, but for building a universe that at some point is going to become more the fans' than it is ours," said a Bungie staffer. "It's going to take a life of its own."

Is this a first look at Bungie's first game with Activision?

Also during the video, Bungie offered new hints about the project, revealing what might be the first screenshot from the game. Pictured at right, the image shows a vast landscape with a metal-looking windmill in the foreground.

Lastly, Bungie concluded the video documentary with a familiar logo. It was first seen in May when dummy corporation Podophobia Entertainment filed a trademark for Destiny, rumored to be a MMOFPS, with the accompany logo (above). Adding to the veracity of the logo, Bungie staffer Johnathan Barnes was spotted wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the same logo at a Penny Arcade Event.

Have they always referred to Destiny as 'Tiger'?
Tiger is the code name. We've known that since February, although this finally confirms it.

Destiny is the name that has been trademarked. For more info, check out my article (which will get a big update once I get home tonight and analyze the vidoc).

TIME OF DAY CHANGE CONFIRMED

I love you bungie. and i agree with you when you say ODST had the best campaign :) Had so much fun exploring the city at night!

I gotta admit, I totally freaked out when seeing the "new" stuff from the Third Person blam/Halo version and seeing the Chicago-Bungie/Wideload crew. Drinnols better be in/on Destiny.

Plus a flamethrower that don't make you slow. And plays the Durandal theme when using it. So CornyGood.

Anyway, I hope Destiny/Tony the Tiger isn't an MMO as we know it. More like a PoE, less to do with missions to kill 7 Space Rats for Space Gold and more about exploring a planet and uncovering it's secrets while carving out your own destiny (I'm so sorry). Like pre-Xbox TPS Halo, but cooler.

also with flamethrowers that play the Durandal menu music

I need to replay Halo 3, I have totally forgotten that campaign.

I love that Jason Jones is still there, he is getting old though, but he can still be Engines like nothing.

I really really really want to know what cinematic they were motion capturing in that video.

I agree! ODST was an amazing experience and getting it out in such a short amount of time shows how talented these guys are.

I cannot wait for whatever you have waiting for us!
