i cant seem to stop the crashing on my PC. CTD with no error message at random intervals

tried all the random fixes posted online without success. hoping the new nvidia driver from yesterday sorts it out

#pcmasterrace. I'm sorry, I can't help it. I have a gaming rig I built a few years back after hearing about how "easy" it is now to play games on it. I have had issues running multiple games, pairing controllers, getting my headset/mic working, game crashes, etc that I think PC gamers are straight up lying to themselves when they say it's easy. Yeah, it's easier than it was in the 90s, but that's a very low bar to clear.

Even when they've sympathized with me or tried to help me solve the problem, and then say, "I've never had these kinds of problems, I guess I'm lucky." I just cannot believe them. They just get used to the issues that come up and never think about them.

Gaming on PC has obvious advantages, but until they can run every game flawlessly without any major issues, then it will never be on par with much less replace consoles.

with the range of hardware available, it will never be as straight forward as console. this is the only game i can think of where im seeing issues like this, none of my friends with AMD cards are seeing it. wondering if its on Nvidia's end or their end. will see soon enough

The game seems to be trying to update 83GB? Isnt that the whole game? We cant play, and it doesnt update, we've rebooted and deleted the cache folder, any one knows how to fix this?

I read later on that there's some glitch that's making some people download 91GB when it should only be 11ish. I already did it, but there's some workaround to make it go back to 11.

so still no FOV settings for consoles... fucking hell. my friends play on console and they get sick from the super low FOV, both usually have no issue with motion sickness but having the FOV so extremely low even makes me dizzy... and I played shit like RIGS on PSVR with all the motion sickness protection stuff turned off, so if a game makes me motion sick, even it it's only a little, that's not good. I can play it but I feel very dizzy after a while. so I'm glad I can play it on PC...

the FOV is the biggest balancing issue for crossplay as well IMO, a lower forced FOV will give you huge disadvantages in many situations in a battle royale

i dunno if it was the driver update from nvidia or the patch from Activision as both dropped within a day of one another, but all of my issues are gone and the game is playing great now

Playing with randoms outright sucks. Most of the matches the randoms in my squad are headed to separate spots, they get killed and leave instantly. I communicate via mic asking them to stick together and mention where to drop since hey there's good loot in this particular spot, lets loot here and buy out the loadouts early on in the game. But no, they never listen. Just painful random squad experience. Anyone here need a third in their squad, sign me up!

Also surprisingly in my 4 wins in Warzone, two of the wins was with randoms and one was in solos

Now that it has solos I gave it a try. Maybe they should reduce solos to 100 players, it's a bit too fast.

I have no idea what any of these menus are. The graphics and overall feel of the game are great and it runs like a dream on my old 970 and i5-3570K, so I'll stick with it - for a while, at least.
So far, I like the mobile version more.

Same problem in pc and ps4. i'm using a headset (hyperX cloud revolver). I think I'll use boost high, and will double the mic sound.

Just headset? no TV/PC Speakers? If so, I recommend using the MW studio option or if your headset have surround sound, home theater option. If monitor/TV speakers, 'boost' alone, neither high or low. Home theater for Home theaters duh.

Audio Mix Settings

• Studio Reference – Maximum Dynamic Range. Recommended at 75dB
• Dynamic Home Theater – High Dynamic Range. Recommended at 65dB
• Home Theater – Moderate Dynamic Range. Recommended at 55dB
• Midnight Mode – Low Dynamic Range. Softer Volume but still keeps details.
• Boost – Moderate Dynamic Range. Neutral EQ. <– Best for all around sound
• Boost High – Moderate Dynamic Range. Enhanced Highs <— Our pick for best footstep sound
• Boost Low – Moderate Dynamic Range. Enhanced Lows.

Just too hard to take down a squad of 4 now at anything other than super close range. Any kind of distance, and they're always reviving each other.

This generation is plagued with performance issues, so was the last one. Bugs exist, crashes exist. This hassle free myth about consoles becomes more distant every generation

Crashes are pretty rare, I think my ps4 has crashed twice, but my pc hasn't crashed in years either so.

PC definetly requires a bit more knowledge to setup. The only issue I've had recently was trying to connect a ds3 and a ds4 at the same time.

with the size of the updates i'm just re downloading the whole game with every patch since the store download comes already patched, not the best thing but the easiest thing to do.
The space necessary for the updates and the download is ridiculous .
At least reinstalling i need less free space overall.

i mean, i need 100 GB free plus the size of the patch and the game if i patch it.
But installing it's like 50 GB and the size of the game, it's like 150 GB of difference or so.

I really don't get the Royale craze. It's either play patient and spend most time collecting loot and only see a few people, or drop into a busy area and more often than not die quickly. It's just too slow paced for me. I've tried Fortnite, Apex, and now Warzone and it's all the same podding flow.

Maybe it's more of a social genre and you needs to play in groups with friends or something. But as a solo player this mode just doesn't do it for me. I'd rather play something with smaller levels and more engagement. The current shooters I have installed on my PS4 are COD4 remastered and Overwatch.

HDR is my go to sniper for warzone. My setup is almost exactly like the one in the video.

Had that on Blackout. No notable issues on mw on pro thankfully. Can not recall if installed on USB drive or internal

Yeah today i finally managed to fix mine too.
btw is there anyway to drop wrapons? Sometimes your teammate needs amd there's no way to drop one...

NOPE. It's stupid. If they want redeployments to work, they need to enable weapon drops.

While we're at it, they need to limit the gulag to the first 5 minutes of the match. The last two circles have been way, waaay too crowded. It's not uncommon to see 30 people in the last two circles.
