I'm old enough to have seen the original seats under current Bobby Dodd.

(Who is the oldest one of us?)

I remember watching the SEC Championship at Legion Field.
It was rainy,
cold, and Alabama got whipped that night

PAC 12 6-2 (+4)
Big 10 8-6 (+2)

We talk about last week's games as well as the upcoming slate of games. Also, who we'd pick from current day and all time to be on our team.

Yeah, and thats probably what triggered the investigation. "Alabama can't get 5* recruits in basketball. Someone must have wired the kid money"

Only because the out of state teams already bought the talent in the state.

But really, let's abort college basketball.

All of it.

Alright, that's it, I can't take the fucking McElwain dick slobbering by some of our fans anymore. Every Florida-related site I'm following on Facebook is full of them.

Is it any wonder why older fans who, to their credit, have followed Florida for a long time but continue to see the CFB and particularly CFB-coaching landscape as if it were the 80's love him?

"He's such a nice guy."
"He does it the right way."
"He loves Florida."
"We weren't competing before he came here."
"If you think he should be fired, you should fire yourself" (?)

First of all, nobody has any idea whether he gives a shit about Florida but I'll totally give him the benefit of the doubt because by all objective measures I think he is committed to UF and he cares about the team and program. And yes he's a nice guy.

But that doesn't mean he's worth dick as a coach. Let's review:

-No improvement on offense; near bottom of FBS for going on 3 years
-Playing safe, scared football with far too much dependence on luck and Muschamp's defenses instead of taking some risks and using first 2 years to fix glaring deficiencies
-No half-time or other adjustments as pointed out by experts and fans alike
-No QB or seemingly any other player development
-Shit play-calling
-Pedestrian recruiting until seemingly next year and we don't know exactly how that class will end up

"But we won the East twice in a row." Yeah, by barely scraping by a bunch of garbage teams. Does anyone understand "context" anymore?

And that's just on the field. It's fucking staggering that anyone would suggest McElwain has done it "the right way." We've got some of the worst player-discipline issues the program has ever faced and people are willing to excuse it for some reason. "It's their fault." Really? Who the fuck's responsibility are they?

Plus the fucking lip-quivering, "ain't it cool", wannabe-philosophizing, bullshit post-game interviews and sometimes barely coherent pre-game interviews - drives me fucking INSANE. Why does he always sound like he's going to cry? Why do we need a reminder that the Swamp is a "great atmosphere"? Talk about fucking FOOTBALL. What did we do well? What didn't we do well? How will you improve it before next game?

Fuck. And that fucking cocksucker Stricklin clearly doesn't take wins in context and will probably relegate us to being just like his previous program Mississippi State.

Ultimately, what pisses me off is we have played amateurish, boring, undisciplined football for 2 fucking years and then patted ourselves on the back for winning the East while basically not even competing with any teams worth a shit.

I'm sick of this "nice guy" football and I'm sick of this fucking staff treating this program like a mid-major, constantly yapping about how much fun "the kids" are having instead of doing their fucking jobs and putting something even remotely decent on the field.

Big Mcelwain is amazing. A lot of times when you see new coaches they do so well because they have a good existing quarterback on the roster. Mcelwain was given shit and the one good quarterback was on steroids. Now we have our two best offense players suspended. He’s doing a great job and you will recognize when we beat Georgia and FSU.

What kind of strain is this?

This is his third year though. He should at least have a young QB with potential on the roster at this point - does he?

He was given NFL-level defenders and we barely beat a bunch of awful teams. Many times those have come from either flukes or just having better athletes than our opponents, not coaching.

We proceeded to get blown out against any real competition just as everyone predicted.

Our biggest wins are LSU when they had an interim coach and fucking Iowa.

We haven't cracked the top #110 in offense in going on 3 years.

Our QBs haven't developed.

We don't know how to block.

We can't play special teams.

Guys are constantly getting in trouble.

We don't adjust to opponents or exploit their weaknesses.

Yeah, great job.

I'm going to need you to edit this down to 140 characters and to stop following fan sites.

I just need to stop reading comments! The sites provide news and that part I like.

If Jake Allen and Matt Corral also turn out to be a bust then Ill start questioning Mcelwain.

Start? Dude, do you look at our rankings in offensive, defensive and ST production? Have you been watching them during McElwain's tenure?

We're not good. The roster excuse is gone. It was Muschamp's defenses that even made the past two years possible.

In fact, from the offense to getting blasted by good teams to the felony fraud, our program is a mess and "winning" the East (not really a thing - you either win the conference or you don't) doesn't hide any of that.

If Corral turn out to be a bust? He may not even start next year depending on what happens with Franks. Even if he does, he'll be a true freshman. We've got a highly-recruited redshirt freshman who has been at the program for a season and a half and the staff hasn't figured out how to teach him the fucking playbook!

This team is poorly disciplined, poorly coached and poorly developed. If you've actually been watching us play and didn't start questioning McElwain a while ago, you're living in a fantasy world.

Since he has been coach y'all seem to win all the close games. Until those games go the other way and turn into Ls, it's hard to fire a guy who keeps getting 10 win seasons even if you feel it could be better.

Hm. Not sure how to feel on this. I'm pretty god damn pessimistic when it comes to the Gators, yet I feel like I'm the only one not calling for McElwain's head.

Our recruiting rank has slowly but surely increased every year he's been here, and while the team still looks pretty bad, we're winning close games more than under Muschamp.

I'd say if one of those two factors went away, fire his ass. Until then, there's just enough roster problems for me to give him the benefit of the doubt. We were supposed to have Grier at this point. You could see the offense setting into place right when the whole steroid thing came out. Then he gets hit with Scarlett, Callaway, and 8 other players getting arrested? Yeah, I dunno.

I hate it because it's one of those situations where we're not shooting off like a rocket under the new hire, but there's also a lot of factors that are holding it back. I'm not thrilled with McElwain. I called him a boring hire from the start, and it's true. He's lucky as fuck winning the east twice just because the east is a flaming pile of shit. But who do you go hire? Do you really start all over again with a new HC and OC when we haven't been this consistent in the position in nearly a decade?

I just hope Texas scores more than 0 points against Iowa State tonight. Last time we played @ISU we scored 0 points. And our offense still isn't good.
