Although this example? It's ACTUAL CENSORSHIP.. meaning the government cracking down on things. Not people campaigning for change, which sure, is generically censorship, but being supportive of an authoritarian government censoring things is a whole 'nother level.. and GAF is apparently a hot spot for that kind of thinking.

BTW I don't think the forum's no politics rule applies to gaming stories that are highly political like this one.

I think you and I have interpreted most of the folks posts here as wildly different.

Most folks aren't OK with censorship in any way, shape or form. However, being stuck between a rock and a hard place, they would rather take what they consider the lesser of two evils, in this case the CCP, to the mind numbing cancer that has filled the gaming industry and turned men from David Jaffee GOW 1 to David Jaffee modern day. Emasculated, spineless weasels who can't use any critical thought.

Personally, I see a good middle ground. People ignoring china and ignoring the fuckwits that fill the industry. Designing the games they want to design instead of appeasing and changing their visions to suit focus test groups and social media cunts.

As for the No politics rule, I think its pretty firm on not derailing things into left vs right, americanocentric BS that diverges from the topic of the original post. Sure a mod can help if we step out of line though.

Again, they actively aren't. We have had a great many number of devs and companies being forced to change their vision on their titles. They have no free autonomy to design what they like, how they like to do it, or in what methods they prefer.

He does have a point. Most know LiS is a gay centric themed series. People enjoyed the first one, yes, even on here, due to the much better writing and cohesion to the story. Then it all went downhill from there story wise, etc., which most can agree.

Kind of similar in the way Stranger Things went as well. First season great, after that, trying too hard to make things they thought was what made it successful, stand out. Detriment to the story and character development that made it great to begin with. Started feeling parody and 4th wall.

There is a reason why people criticize the likes of LiS 2 and Outer Worlds and not NieR or TLOU1 (just for a few examples), despite all of them having LGBT characters. The latter two has decent to great writing, memorable characters with defined personalities, and the former don't.

If you actually bothered to try and understand where these criticisms were coming from, you would have learned this - but you didn't.
