...I'm starting to think Archie is just never going to put out another Sonic/Mega Man trade again at this point. The one single one that was left at being scheduled for December after countless delays... got pushed to April of next year. And 2 of the other trades that recently got pushed back to January now show some suspicious May dates for the kindle editions or whatever...

Pretty sure that means they only put out like maybe 2 trades in that whole line this year back in February, if I'm remembering correctly. It really is insane with all this, just want to buy some darn trades.

Man what is up with Archie? Been waiting since June for Megaman Vol. 9 (Sigma!) and the TPB collecting all the issues of the crossover. The wait is just abysmal.

Look, we all know the only real Rockman/Megaman related comic is the Brazilian New Adventure of Megaman.

Darwyn Cooke's issue in Solo is one of the most incredible brilliant things I've ever seen. I don't want it to end. It's insane how creative he went with it after the previous issues I read that are just kind of standalone story - standalone story - standalone story - etc.

Woah, just got in a huge surprise from Ed. I'm both super fucking impressed/awed, and super thankful. This is dope:
glad you like it! Quitelys linework is fun to emulate
A few months ago I stated that comics are virtually non-existent in Austria. No comic books in stores or libraries, and no physical versions available online.
But it seems that it has gained some popularity in recent times, with the first ever comic-con happening in Austria.

It made public news, with 15,000 in attendance, around half-full.

News article (in German)

They talk about nerd topics are now accepted by the masses - at least since Big Bang Theory, and how the audience is much more evenly split between genders today, which resulted in the Thor sex change and fan backlash amongst other things. They also mentioned the popularity of cosplay, and the split between sexy and sexism.

its always been a bit weird to me that comics arent big at all in places like Austria and Germany when France is so close by.

but good to hear that popularity seems to be rising.

I'm gonna buy a physical copy of Axis one day. I do this for Remender. Although I can make a lot of good decisions with $30 so It'll have to wait but one day.

Roman Reigns is still the champion in my heart.

Decided to spoiler it just in case people are watching Survivor Series late? Seems unlikely.

Read Grant Morrison's Multiversity last night. that was... interesting. Morrison indulging himself to the max never leads to a great story but its beautifully presented and as always, some great ideas.

So I have a question:

Geoff Johns is known a lot for fixing comic lore, since he did with GL and Aquaman. Was Aquaman really broken, lore-wise? I know GL was, I've heard Shazam is (which is why people want him to do a Shazam run so badly). I was just curious if Aquaman was, too.

I don't think so. His bigger fixes were black Adam, Doctor fate, and Hackman. Hell half his JSA run is cleaning continuity messes

Aquaman was more about legitimizing the character and doing away with the Superfriends/talks to fish stigma.

Yeah. Less "fixing" more "PR." Letting people know that the "problem" had already been fixed in no uncertain terms.

Ah okay. I was just curious, since it seems like Johns is heavily associated with being "The Fixer" of continuities and mythologies. Marvel doesn't really have an equivalent, do they?

Regardless, I'm really excited to read his JSA run soon. I'll need to pick up a trade of it. I forget if I ordered one or not.

Ellis is Marvels fixer. But his approach is different. Johns loves embracing the past and finding a way to make sense of it all. Ellis says "F that", looks at the character, distills them into what makes them tick and then wraps it with slick packaging and hands it off to others

It's on sale on Comixology. 50% off.
