You'll be fine, I have a oc'd and unlocked 6950 (2gb) and can easily play on normal settings with a good stable framerate. Normal looks as good as Crysis 2 high if not better in some regards.

I feel about 10 years too old for this game every time I see it, looks like such crappy childish pseudo hollywood crap aimed at kids who buy gi joes.
(to put into perspective, ghibli movies never give me the impression I'm too old for them).
Also that female char model is hilariously uncanny, and everything still looks ... idk how to describe it, plastic or fake or uncanny.
Crysis 2 mp put me off crytek games for mp forever anyhow, they have no idea what they are doing when it comes to netcode or cheat protection.

Should be better with origin now, right? I think origin came after Crysis 2. I'm not sure I understand the age thing, although some of the stuff is pretty cheesy. This game is pretty damn violent. It's not like its mario galaxy or something, haha.

I played the Alpha and it ran at around 30 with settings cranked. The FPS did fluctuate a bit though.

Eh, you know how it is. Once the game releases and new drivers come out it should improve. Don't forget vysnc and triple buffering.

If You lowered Object and Water to High You would have constant 60fps shungokusatsu

They toned cloak way down but a lot of people in the alpha bitched about it in the forums. We'll see if they stood by their guns.
I hope the multi catches on this time. I had a lot of fun in the Cry2 beta but people didn't stick around for the full version.

If there aren't any good deals for this game and you plan on playing a lot of multiplayer, I would definitely not recommend preordering. Don't get me wrong, I loved Crysis 2, but it was painfully under supported. EA and Crytek should be ashamed of the way they handled the potential that was Crysis 2 multiplayer, and should not profit off of Crysis 3 if it ends up being more of the same. My guess is with Origin being introduced, however, it should be improved. I'm waiting for post launch impressions myself.

Buying this game on 360, but I wonder if Crytek will re-release this bad boy for Durango/Orbis.
Crysis 1 PC not seeing CryEngine 3 improvements makes it too obvious.

Would people care anymore though? I'm not sure they would. Consider if they were to rerelease Crysis 2 on next gen...yeah it might look a lot better than PS3/360 version, but interest would be low.
Especially since it wouldn't offer anything new graphically over the maxed PC version.
There seems to be a lot of interest in Crysis 3 as a PC showcase, even after all the hate crytek receives, it's a shame that as far as I know there will not be a Crysis 4.
Unless maybe C3 sells tons, which I dont see happening.
I think it's because the console versions of Crysis 1 & 2 never ran as actually intended.
Neither could hold 30fps. Plus the touted graphical features were gimped.
But if the next-gen consoles GPU are highly customized they might be capable of things high-end GPU of 2012 might not, does that make sense ?
With this in mind a Crysis 3 on Orbis/Durango could look better than the maxed out PC version.
Better then a maxed out pc? No..no that will never happen.
Crysis 3 was made with minimum requirements in mind.
Minimum System Operating Requirements for PC:

• DirectX 11 graphics card with 1Gb Video RAM
• Dual core CPU
• 2GB Memory (3GB on Vista)
• Example 1 (Nvidia/Intel):
• Nvidia GTS 450

• Example 2 (AMD):
• AMD Radeon HD5770
• AMD Athlon64 X2 2.7 Ghz (5200+)
The minimum requirements will get bigger with the new consoles.
