Ok this game is looking pretty darn good.

That is fucking creepy.

Are the graphics really on maximum settings? The CryEngine 3 showcase reel (using in-game footages and scenery of Crysis 3) looked much more impressive. Probably the video's compression fucking it up. ... hopefully.

The actual game comes out in less than a month!. Just upgraded my PC one week ago for this. Been playing a lot of Crysis 2 in preparation for 3 lately, using TV out function with the x360 controller at 1080p /60fps.

i dunno, i almost wondered if its console footage. but what do i know.

Sims model is missing a lot of detail...

I did not say the facial detail was sim quality. I was referring to the eyes, maybe I was a bit harsh, but the eyes look poorly done base on the screenshot due to how plastic it looks. As for the overall facial details I think there are games that are out right now that are just as good compared to the screenshot of the girl from crysis 3. Either way I am look forward to the beta and hope that the video was from lower settings and not max settings for the game.

It's more than just the character models... It's the character models plus the high fidelity of the environment graphics & lighting which makes it impressive.

I wish EA would release more 'ungraded', higher bitrate versions of their videos (like the fields dev walkthrough)
they take compressed video, and then desaturate, add green/blue color grade, vignette, lots of sharpening etc. which makes the IQ really shitty when there is lots of fine detail (foliage, facial textures etc.)

I had a change to look at the gamersyde video and atmosphere, amount of stuff/detail and lighting look very, very good, gameplay we will see. Talking about it, is NanosuitNinja (guy from the C1 vids) a Gaffer and if so, sir are you in Frankfurt (or just Internet nonsense) and if so what are you doing there, if I you don't mind me asking ;)

Few more gifs from Gamersyde video, love the lighting/colour from gunplay+explosions.

After playing Far Cry 3 on my 360, I think I'll wait and see if this gets a next gen port later this year. Still going to give the Beta a go though. I enjoyed Crysis 2 MP for what it was.

Crysis 3 was made with minimum requirements in mind.

Minimum System Operating Requirements for PC:
• Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
• DirectX 11 graphics card with 1Gb Video RAM
• Dual core CPU
• 2GB Memory (3GB on Vista)
• Example 1 (Nvidia/Intel):
• Nvidia GTS 450
• Intel Core2 Duo 2.4 Ghz (E6600)
• Example 2 (AMD):
• AMD Radeon HD5770
• AMD Athlon64 X2 2.7 Ghz (5200+)

The minimum requirements will get bigger with the new consoles.

For being a laptop, what do you guys think about this for my specs? I mean, i'm thinking the memory and the processor makes up for the lack of actual graphics card. I'm pretty sure i'm running dx10. Mass Effect 3 runs pretty smooth with it. BTW, its an Acer 5750 i3.

-Intel Core i3-2310M
-4Gb DDR3
Intel HD 3000 up to 1333mb Dynamic Video Memory

From what i got from this awful streaming.
- cloth physics are in
- IQ looks really good
- Runs extremely smooth
- anisotropic filtering is in

Maybe we'll see some benchmarks when the beta launches. My new 660Ti is already making me nervous with this game, ha =/

So I guess this stream is on the 360? It looks good for the 360 if so, even though the stream is kind of fuzzy so it's hard to tell. Also, the guy who's playing is awful. edit: he may not be that bad, I guess hunter mode is pretty stealthy/campy.

Nope.

Lots of missing effects but that is to be expected from the console version. Alpha on PC was pretty hectic and lots of stuff going on technically.

I would be shocked if Cevat Yerli has found a way to maintain a steady 30 fps in the singleplayer.

If this is the case then I might not wait for a possibly superior version for the next-gen consoles.

I need that Digital Foundry analysis before the release of the game!

Edit: That Crysis 3 multiplayer announcer voice, holy shit. Reminds me of ED 209! "Please put down your weapon, you have 20 seconds to comply!" Hehehe.
