Daredevil: Born Again | Official Trailer

Good lord, the fisk kill in this episode is insanely gruesome, even for a mature series. Its been a while since I've seen something like that on a show I watch. Didn't expect they'd show it full on screen. Almost sticks out of the show because of how gratuitous it is

Toons Toons You are correct. They Game of Thrones that dude and they didn't need to. You can get the same thing if you just do a rear shot with blood splatter and peoples reaction. The Finale was alright, I do not know how the Punisher was still in good shape after all that punishment.

It was also great to see one character return for the finale.

I think the cops said they weren't using lethal rounds against him

And I've heard your account on Twitter can actually get suspended if you post the scene. Its that violent, for those who haven't watched it

I don't get it, that's it? this is a series finale? There's really no closure to the season.
The reason why Foggy got killed is silly, doesn't make any sense, and should be known to prob everyone.

How long is the wait for the next season?

Haven't watched the last 2 episodes yet, but Season 1 was supposed to have 18 Episodes, but the writers strike happened and during the strike they've looked at their footage (already 6 episodes) and decided that it's not good and reshot everything. So they've split the whole thing into Season 1 & 2, but it's more like Part 1 & Part 2.

I can't even remember why they killed Foggy. Other than the show needed a shock value.

Foggy was froggy.

Filming for the second season began in late February 2025 and is scheduled to last until that July.

The second season is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in early-to-mid 2026, and will consist of eight episodes. It will be part of Phase Six of the MCU.

Cant wait for part 2.. a fcking year :(

amazing episode, not sure its a great finale but I guess we'll see an all out war in part 2

Also is it weird that I KINDA hoped Spidey would be in this?

Could he show up in Part 2? Or is that too much of an upstaging of Daredevil on his own show

Yeah it is. They spent an entire season of dialogue trying to convince the audience that NYC was teeming with vigilantes, and couldn't feature the Z-list of NY Marvel heroes/villains, or even shoot full scenes of White Tiger or Swordsman.

It's too much money and hassle. Tom Holland isn't going to interrupt his schedule to show up for this shit. He's filming with Nolan at the same time as the season 2 shoot. Plus he would demand a full the budget of a full episode. Plus Sony would have something to say about it.

Yeah Sony sucks :( I wish Marvel could buy back the Spidey rights or something. But I do think the spidey Sony films have been good

And they got Matt in that No Way Home scène

Spidey isnt gonna appear due to rights issues.

In fact, Kingpin can't appear in any movies either unless Sony approves. Dnofrio confirmed this.

Some other defenders may show up but honestly I'd prefer they kept this a daredevil show. Maybe one of them can appear.

They are not putting Spidey on TV. That would lower his brand.

It is pretty hard to justify a story of this kind without having A LOT of in-world attention placed on NYC and Fisk. The governor's office would get involved, the Supreme Court, the presidency. Fuck, Fisk is trying a more extreme spin on the Sokovia Accords (very lazy writing never to make this connection in the show, even as some level of legal or political precedent for Fisk's policy). There's no way the other heroes, assuming they exist, wouldn't have already been looking for ways to beat out Fisk. Sam Wilson alone would've been all over this.

I'm totally fine with an insular DD story, but what they've chosen is exactly the opposite of that and it hasn't been earned.

Sam wilson is busy. Might not even be in the country, might be fighting eco terrorist in chekoslovakia or something for all we know.

The other defender tier heroes, matt Murdock far as we know hasn't seen them in 8 years. They could be anywhere.

Spidey would be focused on saving people, hes likely none the wiser about fisks role in a of this.

Keep in mind far as anyone in the wider world knows DD hasn't been seen in over a year. HE'S Not even active far as the people know.

I mean this fallout is just beginning, well have to see if they expand on the wider effects in S2. I dont disagree that it would make sense for outside forces to get involved or for Fisk to have to navigate them. He seems to have a plan for that though, he wouldn't have called martial law if he didnt.

Overall I liked the show, didnt really care much for Matt's relationship arc, didnt feel like it added anything to the plot other than a coincidental link btween characters. I liked the action, its very visceral.

But man, that Fisk scene for the final episode. Shock factor for sure, its so damn gruesome it felt like it didn't fit the series at all. And is Fisk meta human? How could he do that?

Why even try to rationalize it? The other heroes aren't involved because of a combination of budgeting and scheduling. That's it.

I don't mind. I like to see Daredevil as it's own thing, since the MCU sucks now anyways.

Theres nothing to rationalize. There might be defenders next season. There might not be. If they do it cool. If they don't its easily explainable why.

He's recruiting, so more will turn up.

This was a great season to me aside from the small missteps (like Punisher simply walking through the front door to take on fully armed enemies).

I still find this funny because he is literally the very first villain in Spiderman PS4.

That explains it. It was a really abrupt end that seemed unplanned.

It's amazing to me they green lit production and all, shot 6 episodes which is like a month+ of work at least, and just scrape it because it was bad. Is there no planning involved?

Fisk was abnormally strong in the original DD series, but he may as well be on the super soldier serum since he was reintroduced in Hawkeye, what with ripping car doors off their hinges and walking away from point-blank explosions.

Really good first season, and I liked the finale as well, but was anybody else really put off by the excessive CGI blood spray? It's totally unnecessary, and looks ridiculous besides.

That was a nice violent finale and I'm always down for blood splatter, but the violence should serve a purpose and a lot of that didn't. How many cops got killed trying to take Castle? To what end? Commissioner just walks right in to a plastic lined room? There is little sense of thought with anyone, they are just going through motions to achieve a pre-determined end. For long serialized shows like this, that is not the place to be.

But hopefully S2 is hot on its heels, a 2 year gap will kill any momentum they got going.
