Information about this was highlighted in the profile of the senior artist of PlayStation Studios Visual Arts characters Frank Aliberti on the ArtStation website, who managed to work on both titles.

The "upcoming first-person shooter" mentioned on Aliberti's page is most likely engaged in Firewalk Studios, which concluded an exclusive agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2021 to release its first AAA-class multiplayer game under its wing.

At the moment, this is the only confirmed FPS genre project that PlayStation Studios is involved in.

Firewalk Studios was founded in 2018 and consists of former Destiny, Call of Duty, Apex Legends, Mass Effect and Halo developers.

During the announcement, it was reported that the accumulated experience allows the team to focus on providing a rich multiplayer experience based on "excellent core gameplay and impressive art design."

As for the Death Stranding sequel, Hideo Kojima has not yet announced its release dates.

The project was officially presented at The Game Awards 2022 and is being created for PlayStation 5 based on the Decima engine using the MetaHuman tool from Epic Games.
