This makes me wonder if the next project will be as good and sell just as well because they won’t be having the budget and marketing from Sony anymore.
Quantic Dream isn't going down like SuperMassive. They've already got that NetEase money and I read some interview where David Cage said that they're renting out their mocap equipment and studio space to smaller devs. They're actually expanding right now, not scaling down.
with sony they didn't have to rent shit and had all the support from sony wws. it will have differences, including the actors he can choose.
They don't have to now. They're expanding into a multi franchise studio and taking on new hires and most likely opening up in new regions. This isn't about "differences" it's about whether or not you're likely to see a SuperMassive style drop-off in quality and there's currently no reason to expect that.
I do think he's a perv though. He needs to have wank before coming into work & putting pen to paper.During lunch break, me and the boys at Sony HQ always joke about David Cage and his bald head lol.
Do we have numbers on Man of Medan? I didn't like it as much as as their far superior Until Dawn but I'm still looking forward to Little Hope and the rest of their Anthology series. Hopefully they are doing good enough to keep the project going.Considering how supermassive's latest game has done I doubt it.
Very few publishers are willing to put weight behind these types of games unfortunately.
