Detroit: Become Human has sold over 3.2m copies on PS4

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
This makes me wonder if the next project will be as good and sell just as well because they won’t be having the budget and marketing from Sony anymore.

Considering how supermassive's latest game has done I doubt it.

Very few publishers are willing to put weight behind these types of games unfortunately.

I played it for a few hours when it came to PS Plus, it was good for what it was but it's not my type of game (story was good though). I am glad a wide variety of experiences are able to do well.

with sony they didn't have to rent shit and had all the support from sony wws. it will have differences, including the actors he can choose.

They don't have to now. They're expanding into a multi franchise studio and taking on new hires and most likely opening up in new regions. This isn't about "differences" it's about whether or not you're likely to see a SuperMassive style drop-off in quality and there's currently no reason to expect that.

My reasons I explained in my post. Sony support is not just money, but I'm not a Cage hater I like his games and I hope I'm wrong.

Do we have numbers on Man of Medan? I didn't like it as much as as their far superior Until Dawn but I'm still looking forward to Little Hope and the rest of their Anthology series. Hopefully they are doing good enough to keep the project going.

That's also my worries regarding the "departure" of Quantic Dreams and Sony.

I really doubt they will receive the same support. Neither by money nor by the access of Sonys technologies.

Sad but good point.

Quantic Dream isn't going down like SuperMassive. They've already got that NetEase money and I read some interview where David Cage said that they're renting out their mocap equipment and studio space to smaller devs. They're actually expanding right now, not scaling down.

What is NetEase rep with being supportive or open to creativity?

I barely know anything about them although they seem to be a giant of a company.

Hopefully QD found what they were looking for with NetEase.

I always appreciated their games.
