Doesn't look like Switch 2 will be scarce at launch?

If it's not scarce scalpers will make it scarce. Just look at the 9070xt and how that card with stock piling since December got rinsed out in a day. And it was a fucking AMD card.

My advice to everyone is that if you even remotely want a Switch 2, get your preorders in and start buying now. Because this time right now, will be the cheapest time you can buy a Switch 2 for the next 3-4 years.
Was it any different with the PS5?, scalpers make all console launches hard work,

Anyone had word from My Nintendo yet?

I meet all of the criteria but no email.

I normally get all my Nintendo consoles from the uk store for the 2 year warranty.

hopefully you get an email. I haven't had one but I let my switch online lapse in December and I'm waiting to activate a code for switch 2 launch.

I got an invite last week.
Looks like I’m not included then.

No problem. To be honest I’m not buying for me I’m buying for my lad’s Christmas present.

I’m guessing availability might get scarce towards Christmas so want to get it in early.

Might just go for that £500 DK/MK bundle at Very.

When was the last time a console launched and had plenty of stock? Even the WiiU sold out at launch.

If you think the Switch 2 will be readily available on launch day for anyone to buy you'll be disappointed.

There is nothing available from Very last time I checked.

The most interesting thing about the launch in my opinion is what the deal will be for Americans if tariffs on Chinese imports are still in place.

I presume Nintendo will just import via another country to avoid them but that will cause Nintendo, the most penny pinching of all the electronics brands, additional costs. What will the price end up being?

I asked FNAC support via chat today if they'll be able to honor every preorder of the Switch 2 as I saw on Amazon and other sites that it was available at some times but not all the time like FNAC.
He told me that they won't be able to ship every order in time for the release date and will work with suppliers to get more units, but that my order was still early enough for release date.
Is that true ?

Anyway, if Nintendo send me the email tomorrow I'll preorder there too, if both will be shipped, I'll sell one to my boss as he wants one too.
I’m not at work today, I’ll ask tomorrow if there’s any news about shortage for the preorders.
Did you preorder in a store or online?

Why wouldn't it? We're past pandemic-related supply chain issues, and a higher price point will naturally regulate demand. Nintendo has the production capacity and incentive to ensure availability.

Doesn't feel scarce at all, at least as far as launches go. I've got two coming and could have bought another today no problem.

Freaking Alarmo suffered from scarcity, but Switch 2 wont?

Nintendo will drop 10 Switch 2 unities to each retailer so the headlines saying it has sold out can help them marketing wise.

Even with the high price I think it will sold out pretty easily. Scalpers will help with that.

The Mario Bundle is still available for preorder everywhere in central Europe. Probably didn`t have to reserve one after all.
This could actually be the first "classic" launch where you can just go into a store and buy the thing since the PS4 era.

Yeah good luck with that...
Edit.
I reread my post and it's a bit rude, i should add that i'm not willing to take that risk.
