I think it's going to be middling, and this has nothing to do with it being woke or DEI or whatever. It just looks like a tired, generic shell of other action rpgs.

Feels like a 6/10 game that will get an 8/10 average from critics for reasons other than gaming.
Art directions looks completely off for a DA game, Character creator is a jwoke, Combat looks mediocre with cellphone tier animations. I have low expectations for a good story and writing as well. Overall the game looks like a step down from previous DA games. This is all from the trailers i saw, there was some cool stuff in the trailers as well, but looking a Bioware track record in recent years, i dont see this game being actually good.

I think some of you get waaaaaaay too much into this and just seem to assume that everyone agrees with you.
Saying something is bad doesn't automatically mean everyone will heard in like sheep man, you think its bad, thats ok.
That doesn't mean what you are showing will result in all tha see it not buying the game, its not like the game will get zero sales or something lol How do you know the person you are showing it doesn't care and is now invested in the story scene he just saw? lol
This doesn't even sound all that different then the last Dragon Age
I'm not saying this is GOTY, shit this is not even a day 1 for me, but I don't know if some on here not liking it, is enough to have everyone just fall in line, people disliked the last Dragon Age, yet many of us on here enjoyed it.

Even if you believe the voice acting or other elements are bad, its feasible the fans of this IP may not even care. I buy many games where I understand what it looks like or sounds like isn't some GOTG type thing, yet still enjoy em, so i don't know if showing that scene will have the desired effect.
This isn't a AC Unity clip or a Witcher 3 clip of someone flying i the air or T-Poses or missing faces etc That at least has a some great substance to it and makes sense to react to this way, the scene you showed wasn't a massive red flag type thing for me..

Apart from the wokeness and some bad character designs, I think this game will be fun. The combat looks a lot better everytime I see it.
Overall, I think it'll be a fun package that perhaps won't appeal to old Dragon Age fans as much, but will appeal to the current crop of gamers. 80-84.

Writers need to understand, good quality writing is timeless. I can still read a good novel from 1960s and have a great time. It doesn’t need to evolve this much.

I don't know if it will be something like 80-84 though, i'll be surprised if its that high, current Bioware has not been knocking em out the park like that for me to feel this one will be it.

Dragon Age 2 was murder on my thumb back in the day. I do still want them all on ps5 though. Just give us some QOL for the first 3. Origins strengths were in its writing.

lol I completely forgot about Dragon Age 2, that was a once over for me, but I recall the wild mashing lol I think to them they thought going a more hack and slash action route was key to success, but its like...if you don't do that well, you really help no one.
So I love the story and gameplay in Origins, I like Inquisition more overall and 2...........no comment lol
Up there imho with one of the worst sequels, right next to DMC2.

Also no one here should realistically be expecting DAO/BG2 combat, because looking at any snippet of the action in every single preview, it looked like a Mass Effect game in both combat and speed.
