Nobody has moved like beerus, cept UI goku now; it was clear foreshadowing to UI and Whis even mentions it afterwards explicitely during their training.
Goku himself even comments on it right after he can't touch beerus.
It's important to see that UI users don't just dodge, they move around without thinking about it; flowing around like water.

It's a bit strange that he would need UI against Super Saiyan 3 though. Even the fact that there is no aura of any kind or color changes that depict the UI usage.

When he fought against GOD Goku he didn't use it if he really has UI.

"Need" may be a moot point if it comes much easier to Beerus, as it should. It's just part of how he fights, not a Saiyan transformation.

In the manga he used it against other GoDs and was untouchable for a few moments, and that was his still imperfect UI.

He doesn't "need" to use it, he just uses it naturally.
Also it's not a transformation, it doesn't have an aura.
The angels (at least whis) have perfect UI and they never have an aura.

I was under the impression that it was a transformation. I was wrong then.

Saiyans transform, as does Freizas race and maybe some others. But most species do not. i.e Toppo is just in base form fighting an SSB. UI for Saiyans is a transformation. It probably isn't for Beerus or anyone else using it, it just becomes an extension of their base/only form.

Did they miss though that potara is a tens of times multiplier on TOP of combined power? Robots combining doesn't seem like it would do that, just add their powers. Unless all of them are smurfing so far.

Nah, that's exactly what it does in super robot anime and Super Sentai.

He doesn't "need" to use it, he just uses it naturally.

We also haven't ever seen them fighting seriously though. Note that the angels don't have gray eyes either, but rather purplish ones.

On the other hand, Beerus in the manga explicitly used his imperfect Ultra Instinct against the other GoDs, and there were no visual changes. Still, it's imperfect and he ended up grabbed by the robot GoD, so that might be why there was no visual changes.

The grey eyes mean nothing.
UI is a technique, not a transformation.
Goku's transformation is not UI, even whis doesn't know what it is exactly, but it does enable him to use UI.

Well the heat/eyes is definitely a transformation, one that allows him to tap into UI.
But who knows, perhaps it's an incomplete transformation for now.

They're more purplish than gray, but I guess it could count (same goes to the other angels).

Every official material is referencing the visual changes themselves as "Ultra Instinct" (Omen). What Whis wasn't sure about was the "heat", but it's not clear what's the heat he mentioned and if that was related to Goku's aura or any other visual aspect of Ultra Instinct that we've seen so far.

It's not even a technique. It's a heightened state of martial arts awareness more than anything. Whis discusses what it is when he's training with Goku and Vegeta earlier in the series. UI is basically a fusion of reaction and thought into one process allowing the body to act on its own when fighting without the brain needing to dictate all the commands.

All of the Gods of Destruction are fighters at the point where they can potentially reach this territory or state but it's difficult to do so without the correct stimulus or situation. Jiren is likely someone that's reached that and his strength is because of it. He has to keep himself focused though which is probably why he meditates, lol.

You know what we need? Comedic episodes showing what Yamcha and Bulma is upto on earth.

I do wonder how things will be handled for Bulma's voicework. Maybe some delays out of respect. Really unexpected and unfortunate news. Such talent that lasted beyond 30 years.

Has Bulma appeared since DBS ep.96? If not, then these are Hiromi Tsuru's final lines in Dragon Ball, at about the 11:50 mark.

Goku receives some of Freeza’s ki and he’s already back to UI within a matter of minutes. That ki must be as good as eating a senzu.

She isn't really appearing in this arc ever since the tournament started. I guess she'll just be recast by the time she turns up, although they might keep her mute/off screen for a while too even after the tournament ends.

She probably also won't have as much presence either going forward. Just look at how much North Kaio's role was reduced after he was recast near the end of Super's BoGs arc.

Glad that's over and done with, really wish those Magical girls were the beast in the tournament and not more Saiyans, but they themselves said it best "thank god for being Saiyans"

The grindmehameha was pretty hype, though it's pretty lame kefla was just used as a jobber to the stars.
At least she actually manage to singe UI goku twice, that's more than jiren managed to do.
So thus far she's had the most powerful showing offence wise, though jiren still has that superman speed/durability.

Kinda sad she's out though, wouldn't have mind her taking out a couple other people first, like dyspo.

This. I kind of want them to push off Dyspo because he had his chance to do anything meaningful and right now he's just a filler to keep numbers on that team. Toppo is still fighting Vegeta so we can get that for a bit.

Honestly, I thought it would have been kind of cool if Goku had just flung one or both of them off the stage when he first blocked their attacks using UI.

Also sad Kefla is gone. Honestly, probably my one of my fav characters now. The amount of energy and attitude Kefla has is amazing. Steals the show when onscreen is.

Bad ass fight tho.

Amazing fight. This Arc keeps getting better and better.
Anybody who says DB Super is a lame series has no taste whatsoever.

Do you think we'll see Vegeta reach Ultra Instinct this arc?

One of the coolest fucking moves in Super, period. The steading charging of the beam as he dodged her attacks, that little trick right when she thought she had him, and...

That fucking sound. That glorious goddamn sound that played when he let that kamehameha go was awesome.

Vegeta definitely gonna go ultra instinct now that he's put 2and2 together with what goku has achieved.

That will probably be the point in which goku gets to recover his stamina and goes again and masters it next.seems he has mastered the movement side of things, just not the attacking according to whis.
