Dune: Awakening Releases Early 2025 | Gamescom 2024

It's crazy how Funcom is still around. After Age of Conan, The Secret World, and basically the entire MMO genre flopped, I didn't think they'd be able to keep their doors open. So I looked into it, and sure enough, they're now a subsidiary of Tencent lol.

Apparently a company called Cabinet Group owned all the rights to Conan the Barbarian by Robert E. Howard, but Funcom bought them out. So Tencent now owns Conan.

Anyway, Conan Exiles is meh, and this will probably be meh too.

pfft, it has much grander single player history than the PS2

Are we going to be able to play this like conan? By that I mean basically make a private server and play solo and not have to deal with pvp or other online issues?

I loved Conan Exiles, this looks like a good game for me with the same formula, will give it a chance.

Conan and Dune, relegated to mmo survival shovelware, such a sad use for such fantastic properties.
From doing a Conan-Souls is one of my dream titles. Dune at least has some quality titles in the past, I spent many hours in Emperor and Dune 2.
