Oh, crap! I forgot that they're doing Knack 2 slumber party tonight. I should've gotten sleep beforehand. Probably can't stay up for the whole thing now.

But seriously, I love those full playthroughs with multiple Allies. I hope one day they'll do a FFIX one, which they teased several times in the last couple of weeks.

It's been a great stream though. Kinda sold me on playing it at some point, as well as maybe even the first game. The shift from small scale to large scale is a really simple but cool concept.

I'd love a Halloween stream next, featuring Hidden Agenda and Evil Within 2.

man...there's a looooot of padding in Knack 2. I feel like this is too many chapter too long. I feel like it should have been an 6 or so hour game. I'm still enjoying the stream but damn.

Just following the stream, it looked like Knack got a purple part on his head at the end of the first game that they thought would be significant in some way but Knack 2 acted like it never existed so there was outrage.

And a prime example of why Ian gets more flack than anyone else in the Allies.

I'm sure he didn't mean it that way, but it needlessly alienates people.

It's been a while, between Eid holiday and buying a Switch (Mario+Rabbids is good). Recap:


  • Windjammers stream was incredible. It's amazing how many people Huber destroyed. I wonder if they should introduce a rule similar to SBFP where the winner hands off the controller after beating everyone in a row.
  • The panel question was very bad but probably wasn't what he meant to ask. I think he was talking about people here shutting down non-hostile non-constructive criticism under the guise of L&R (which I would've agreed with had he formed the question properly).
  • Regarding alternative funding to patrons, I personally don't consider them "purely" patron funded since they have sponsor ads for the podcasts. I doubt it's better for them in anyway but I would prefer it if the patronage was limited to the lower tiers with the higher-end "sponsorship" tiers done elsewhere.
  • One more vote for consuming more content on work days. My podcasts stack up when I don't have daily commute. Frametrap is too long for my commute so I usually listen to it at work or just as I'm back home.

I started watching Gundam Wing because I liked the streams. i like the ideas of Gundams. it's bad. don't watch Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
there's apparently 10 other Gundam shows. i dunno. i'm curious too

The mobile suit gundam trilogy is an excellent place to start.
It's 3 movies recapping the original 70s Gundam anime. The trilogy is 35 years old itself, but still fantastic (recently released on Blu-ray too)
The next EZAnime is 08th MS team, which is a series of OVA that happen in tandem with the 70s series.

Wing and 00 are pretty divisive, mainly because long time Gundam fans hate them but there's many who had these as their entry into the series. Wing sure was for me, in that 90s DBZ toonami era.

I'll echo the recommendation to stick to the he original universe shows

Go:
Original Gundam movie trilogy
War in the Pocket
8th MS Team

If you're still wanting more shows after that then hop back in and I can recommend some more.

Thank you for the recommendations everyone. I'll check out the original movies and War in the Pocket and should have time for the 8th MS before the next EZAnime. Everything's shorter than I expected.

Just to clarify War in the pocket is a stand alone story so you could easily watch 8th MS team before it. It's just one of the strongest Gundam series so I had to put it in the initial recommendation list

Just finished the new easy update, great great stuff. Definitely my fave episodes come from these show floor tours, it's a nice inside look for those of us that can't go and the rapport is always so fun

While grinding through Yakuza 0 side missions I finished the knack 2 stream. Knack 2 isn't a great game but it seems to have some value. But that stream again highlights why I enjoy any of their group long form streams. Just their own banter, and chemistry is great and than can make almost any game stream work. Even when it starts to go off the rails as they got more tired (The Who/whom endless debate) it pays off with a great callback joke later by Huber.

I'd say Huber was probably the stream MVP for that one. His high energy and crazy random questions/ thought experiments kept things moving along nicely
