Lorelei and UFO50 in top 3 and rightly so. I should get around to playing Astro at some point, maybe on sale.

Rebirth, Stellar Blade, Wukong, Silent Hill 2, Space Marine 2 and then Astrobot for me.

Astrobot is a great game but it's far too easy and levels are so short it's no way GOTY.
That's a good list, Space Marine 2, Stellar Blade, and Wukong along with Rebirth are the great. Space Marine 2 is my personal favorite.

Astro Bot looks good but not really into it. If it had a legit setting and story like Ratchet and Clank than it would have been a lot better. Silent Hill 2 Remake is alright too with the exception of a few things.

These look interesting. Although the list is a bit edgy, it's nice that it puts the spotlight on different games. I've never seen a list that was universally accepted anyway.

Glad to see my boy Astrobot at the top, feels like it was a success almost despite Sony, who gutted most other Japanese studios to fund their Bungie acquisition and make more Horizon spin-offs nobody wants to play.

Surprised to see Frostpunk 2 on a couple of the lists, I avoided it like the plague after hearing it was a right state upon release, even looking at the recent Steam reviews it seems like it's still not where it should be; I wonder what monster PC EDGE played it on.

Well, Ive not played the game so no nothing of what it's like as a game. However, the only articles or posts I see are about new scantily clad costumers. If it is that good, where are the articles on the great fighting mechanics or a well written story. It seems to be making waves in one aspect of the game that isn't really about the 'game'.

I see your point about the costumes being the only thing that gets attention but I've played it to completion twice and I loved the gameplay, boss fights and the music too.
It's my GOTY for 2024 (haven't played wukong yet to be fair) but it's the most fun I've had in a game since lies of p in 2023.

You should defo play it,it's imo a great game and a breath of fresh air.

I've never even heard of UFO 50 until i read this thread.
Just looked it up on steam and reminds me of those 50 games on a cassette you could buy in the 80's for £1.99

Balatro 2nd for best audio design, I don't recall my 7.1 system rocking while playing that..
