Is I Am Alive any good? I remember liking the teaser a while back but never bothered to look into it after that.

Dante’s Inferno Super Bundle (only available in Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland)

wot why :( I live in Belgium :'(

There are no doubts in my mind that the Agarest games are most likely awful but I find myself wanting to buy both of them.

Sometimes I actually enjoy playing shitty JRPGS, albeit I will probably only get a handful of hours out of both of them. At that price I may bite.

Dante's Inferno Bundle + I Am Alive for me.

I remember people liking Dante's Inferno and I really want to see how I Am Alive turned out. The first reveal trailer was amazing but it seems like that's not really what the game turned out to be.

I was just reading about them because I wasn't really familiar. The second one was sounding pretty decent until I read about the absurd level of fan service. Probably not a game for me, haha.

Tempted to pick up I Am Alive. Was always interested, and how bad could it be for a fiver?

Dante's Inferno is really solid. Definitely worth a play if you can get over the fact that the gameplay is pulled wholely from God of War.

I'm interested in what a game has to do to be granted a GOTY edition. Because Two Worlds II was surely no-one's game of any year. Or am I misjudging it? I've never played it properly myself, but a friend's experience with it suggested it was a bit hit and miss.

At less than a tenner for PS+ members though, I'm tempted.

I am in the market for Dead Island.. but I´m not going to buy it, just because I´m afraid it will be on Plus soon.. when is the new Dead Island game out..?

Two Worlds II got game of the year? I wasn't aware of that.

I enjoyed FarCry 3 a lot, is 2 worthwhile?

I don't think it got GOTY. It's just a lot of games seem to apply that to the title when releasing the game and DLC etc. Not sure if that's due an outlet deeming said game their GOTY.

I could be totally wrong here xD.

Yeah I just checked out a video of the second one myself... I don't think I want to play that game anymore. I mean I have no issue whatsoever with fan service in the sense of goofy sexualised content but when the "fans" being "serviced" appear to be fans of, how do I put this, particularly young looking characters, then I find myself wanting nothing to do with it really.

That's an INSANE price drop, holy freakin' shit. =o
Wasn't that game also chock-full of delicious DLC?
*checks*
Yup, roughly 60 items. Many around 3 bucks, some free. Still, I suspect they'll get their full-price purchase out of unsuspecting customers regardless of the price for the initial game.

Always wanted to replay PoP 2008 after blazing through it at release and getting rid of it before it dropped too much in price. Will definitely buy!

Tempted with Dead Island, but afraid of PS+ on that one. :p

Even if Dead Island eventually comes to PS+, it most probably won't be the GOTY edition, so the price of the DLC would be twice as much as buying the GOTY edition right now.
That is, of course, if you even care for the DLC (it probably isn't worth it).

i understand germany and australia have ratings issues but i'm curious as to what stops some companies from releasing in bulgaria and hungary?

Agarest games price is tempting, but ....
Anybody played both and can tell what's good and what's bad about them?

The reasons are probably just as stupid as the ones for making every country in the EU buy separate PSN € cards (and not supporting certain EU countries at all).

I am alive is worth it. Just approach it like you would approach demon's souls, this isn't a shooter. Every bullet counts and resources are scarce. If you're into that kind of game and aren't afraid of a challenge be sure to check it out. Once you figure the game out it isn't so bad, I did a second playthrough on hard and had plenty of stuff left in my inventory at the end.
Graphics are crap though, be warned.

I've played ZERO extensively but not Agarest 2. Regurgitating my comments from one of the previous EU sale threads here:

Kinda tempted on Agarest ZERO, but it's the second game in the trilogy, right?

Anyone got any opinions on ZERO?
I've spent about 150-200 hours on it over the past few months so I'll chip in.

First of all, it's set before Agarest 1 so there's no issue with it being the second game. You'll actually get more insight into the story / some of the characters by playing ZERO first.

Secondly, it includes a slightly stripped down version of Agarest 1 as an extra (requires a New Game+ or clear data from the first game). It cuts out all non-important battles, a few events and forces a waifu upon you in each Generation rather than giving you a choice. Despite these points, I think I'd actually prefer it to playing the 'full' Agarest 1 because it removes a lot of the less interesting filler and the pseudo time-restrictions. You also get the True End regardless which means you don't have to worry about your choices so much.

The combat system seems basic and repetitive initially but once you start building up skills and combos it becomes much more entertaining. In the late game it takes me a few minutes to plan my order of attacks to make sure I get the best possible combo skills. I prefer it to something like Disgaea.

Even without the DLC ((5 characters for £2) x 3) there is a huge number of (largely female) characters for you to form a party of 6 from. Though you'll need a decent amount of in-game currency and/or a New Game+ for many of them. You can capture pretty much every monster (including some post-game bosses) to use as well.

The characters and story in ZERO are largely terrible. Agarest 1 is better in both respects. Murmina is the best character and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Production values are about what you'd expect given the developer(s).

If I had to name one thing about it that impressed me the most, I'd say it's the sheer amount of content. For £10 it's a no-brainer.

Agarest: Generations of War 2 (not available in New Zealand)

Haha, what? Australia, Finland and Norway get the sequel, but not the first?

Also, anyone played the Tintin Secret of the Unicorn? I saw it for cheap in EB a few weeks ago and I was sure I had heard someone say it wasn´t too bad, but I renagged incase either I was wrong, or the person who told me was one of those people who over rated average games.

It's a terrible HD collection full of bugs and sound issues. It's not silent hill bad but its in the category as one of the worst collections.

Yet to begin it myself to see if it's any better, but I heard if you play signed out of the PSN it ran better. Did you ever try that?

Tintin isn't bad it's a decent 2D Platformer and has various other modes to play in as well.
AT THAT Price I recommend getting it as it should be cheper than US' discount.

It's okay, a 4-6/10 depending on what your looking for in a game. They completely redesigned the game and characters since the first reveal trailer.

The two Agarest have me tempted, but I don't have much space left on my PS3 HDD (still rocking the launch 60GB one lol).

I bought the game last year, and while I liked some aspects of it, I hated the climbing mechanic that you could only hang on to the ledges for a given time. There was a section, where you had to climb a higher wall as quickly as possible, while resting at the gaps. Due to the switching camera angles I failed that part a handful of times and called quits. It didn't really help, that the checkpoints were relatively far between, which meant having to do the same things you had already passed over and over again.

I liked Dead Island, eventhough it wasn't without its faults either. Too long for its own good, and I hated the packs on Infected. I did finish the game though, and it took me 57 hours with the majority of the sidequests.

Never played any of last gen's Prince of Persia (I know...).
To my knowledge, the first one is the best. Should I grab it, or the HD port is terrible?
