Libero and Il Giornale are full of little arrogant psychotic arselickers, always busy trying to screw each other, who are still mad they can't have the hoes and the cokes they deserved, 'cause master Berlusconi can't see their "potential" (too much bung bunga!) and give them a place in TV. And the worst thing, this is the normality.

Ieri i ragazzi di Prandelli hanno veramente ben figurato sul rettangolo verde di gioco. Difficile aspettarsi un organico più unito sul campo, specie dopo la ricompattazione post-svecchiamento cui la Nazionale era andata incontro in questi ultimi anni. Oggi, gli azzurri hanno dimostrato di valere molto anche come uomini. Con un gesto che li ricopre di onore e di gloria, i nostri giocatori, quelli che ci rappresentano, hanno dato prova della loro nobiltà d’animo, promettendo di devolvere, in caso di vittoria degli Europei, tutto il premio ricavato a favore dei terremotati dell’Emilia Romagna.

Finalmente, a seguito delle tante maldicenze che hanno contaminato mortalmente il nostro calcio, qualcosa di positivo viene fuori con forza, mostrando l’altro volto dell’Italia. I giocatori hanno inviato formale richiesta, esprimendo la volontà di trasferire tutti i benefit alle popolazione colpite dal terremoto. Com’è ovvio che sia, la domanda dovrà essere presa in esame dalla Figc e dal presidente Abete, per poi venire approvata ed ufficializzata. In linea di massima, non dovrebbero esserci problemi. Si tratterebbe, più o meno, di una cifra notevolmente consistente: almeno 200 mila euro a testa nel caso in cui i ragazzi riuscissero ad agguantare il titolo finale. I bookmakers non sembrano essere dalla nostra, ma, con il cuore, possiamo anche andare oltre e compiere l’impresa.

Il comportamento di molte altre squadre ci è apparso un poco assurdo: la Grecia, per dirna una, colpita dalla crisi fino all’osso, aveva promesso quasi 500 mila euro ad ogni calciatore qualora avessero vinto. L’Ucraina, invece, premierà ugualmente i propri interpreti con un milione di euro a testa. In un momento storico del genere, dove non siamo gli unici a passarcela piuttosto male, c’è chi ancora mette mano al portafoglio, dilapidandosi per un niente. Bene i nostri a dare un esempio del genere. Gli azzurri hanno compreso di dover offrire il proprio contributo alla causa vista la situazione pietosa in cui versano tantissimi connazionali.

Is this real Italia-GAF? Have you heard any of this? If so, amazing gesture. Basically says that Italian players would give the money they receive after winning the Euro, to those affected by the recent Earthquake in Italy.

I think you have a point. It also might be taken from a completely different situation, e.g. after a German missed chance, and then got edited in (remembering Low's ball-poking incident).

Association of black ppl. to monkeys obviously has racist undertones even if you think there are similarities or someone strikes a money-like pose or whatever. It grew historically and whether you understand it or not doesn't really matter.
It's not really a case of political correctness overload.

So, it seems there is some uproar in the press, because two German TV presenters said something stupid about Balotelli on TV? Any info on this?

It's not a matter of understanding it. It's a matter of culture. You Americans see racism everywhere. Not here in Europe, as you can see.

Here racism is related to discrimination, hate and lack of rights. And not about depicting black/yellow/white people in some way.

And now back to football ;)

Nell’analizzare la prima fase della partita, Beckmann - visibilmente irritato da quel risultato parziale - definisce Balotelli e Cassano due «Straßenköter» in area di rigore (letteralmente due «cani randagi»). La sfortunata scelta del termine ha però fatto irritare molti telespettatori e tifosi. Forse il telecronista aveva in mente i «cani sciolti» che, contestualizzato, può essere un complimento. Scholl, in ogni caso, non vuole essere da meno e bolla la coppia di attaccanti come «Pflegefälle» (persone non autosufficienti), nel contesto da intendersi soprattutto come «casi disperati», riferendosi probabilmente alla serie di clamori suscitati in passato dai due giocatori fuori dal campo e al loro particolare modo di giocare.

Both Italian strikers are "Pflegefälle" = people in need of care (term used for insane or sick/immobile)
Mehmet Scholl refers to Balotelli's/Cassano's unpredictability, not Cassano's heart surgery.
They act like on the streets, use all sorts of tricks, etc.
And then Beckmann sums it up by saying: "2 Straßenkötter im Strafraum" = 2 street dogs (stray dogs) in the box.

Sort of disrespectful, but nothing to go nuts about.
