You and me both, Sensei, you and me both. 😭

For those not in the know why, these are manly tears of joy, or rather the chad feelings of the Gods coming through our eyes. 🥲

Having Okami in one of the best engines out there right now, along with the OGs making it (where's my absolutely cute Ikumi Nakamura?!?!) it's like a dream come true in the times of the retarded games for retarded gamers. I'm sad to say people born 10 years ago will never know what it was going from NES Zelda, to the massively beautiful sprites of A Link to the Past then you're fucking blown away through all your holes by OoT.

Just in 11 fucking years.

What we got in the last 11 years?

NOT.A.FUCKING.THING.

I love those pictures showing gaming progression from day 1 to 5 years later to 10 years later where it goes from SNES to PlayStation to PlayStation 2. Then the same time comparison from 2014 is like GTA 5 to GTA 5 to GTA 5. What a fucking depressing time we're living in. I feel for the kids.

Graphics may have diminishing returns, but what matters in the end is gameplay. The best, enduring games have engaging gameplay.

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
I just want a new Viewtiful Joe. I want one so badly.

Forget the graphics, it's the stagnation. The same games are being played years later and because of their longevity we get nothing new and exciting. Look at a year in game releases like 1998 vs 2024. Which had more grand slam titles released?

am I the weird one out here when I say I could never get into the game because the beginning felt unbearably dull and annoying?
I always thought the beginning of Twilight Princess was pretty bad, but when I played Okami I wished I was playing the beginning of Twilight Princess :messenger_loudly_crying:

when does the game get good?
