Eurogamer: The Witcher 4 will be the biggest CD Projekt Game, with focus on optimization and no delays

Using another engine should help but after the Witcher 3 downgrade and the cyberpunk situation I’ve lost my trust in them.

Until I'll have a chance to see something that sells me on these alleged "improvements" every single word of this sounds completely hollow to me.

Next game (Witcher 4) will be bigger and better than TW3 and Cyberpunk 2077
Loved the scale of the game last time with so much to discover, but why's it always got to be *BIGGER*? Not everything needs to be *BIGGER* and *MORE* than the last - that's an Ubislop play. Don't need more and more game just for the sake of it; a worthwhile, manageable chunk of fun that doesn't outstay its welcome works so much better than just more and more of everything for the sake of more and more of everything. Their actual words seem to be that it will not be smaller and not be worse and will therefore be bigger and better. I hope that's all there is to it and it's not something that demands 200 hours of my life (otoh, if it's worth 200 hours of my life doing a shit ton of extras and stuff, I'm game). Anyway...I don't want to be playing at 30/sub-30fps in 2028 or beyond. An unlocked 60fps option for whatever is the leading console at the time is a must.

Witcher 4 will likely release 1-2 years after full reveal Lessons learned from Cyberpunk
Hopefully that full reveal shows lessons were also learned from the way the previous Witcher game was shown off 2 years out from release; what some called a bait-and-switch with the way the game looked (but was likely more to do with not scoping the game out for the target platforms it needed to perform on (sales-wise) to be financially viable, and a similar trap they then went on to jump into head first, balls flapping in the wind, with Cyberpunk in not involving the consoles until far too late in the dev process). They say they've got that in their plans, that console development will run alongside so they don't head off too far into the impossible and cause themselves needless problems. Seems glaringly obvious in hindsight I'm sure.

Better studio organization to avoid another buggy launch, including better review processes and more time for pre Production
I dunno, this sounds more like like words designed for the ear of investors than anything. Having a 3rd arm of your operation breeching time zone differences between the other two won't necessarily fix anything and might just make logistics a touch more awkward, but they know what's best I'm sure.

I mean, she isn’t really a witcher. She doesn’t have the biological enhancements.
She still has the Witcher title given to her by Geralt in one of the endings so I'll say she could still fit for the main role. I think Geralt want to retire anyway as seen at the end of Blood and Wine so what better than to give it to his daughter. Ciri could be very interesting as she could use more spells and abilities compared to a normal Witcher. She didn't have a lot in Witcher 3 but they could definitely give her a lot more in 4 once she mastered more of her powers.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
before you get excited read this from a post on the subreddit

Yeah everyone should go and reflect a bit on all the broken promises made by CDPR during Cyberpunk's development.

People have forgotten way too easily. Between that and the EGS stuff I don't know how people are hyped for whatever they are working for.

It clearly won’t be Ciri. I’d eat my hat if it’s anything but a new Witcher that is a CDPR original. At most you might be able to alter the looks and tweak the backstory a bit, but it’s going to be a fully voiced set protagonist.
