There have been more comprehensive articles on this subject, but he’s correct. Acquisitions and consolidation means fewer outlets for creativity as these developers are forced by their owners to create whatever is trending. Due to the current focus on creating games for shareholders rather than gamers, this leads to many live service gambles and remasters or sequels.

problem is, most gamers out there will ssay shit like "lol walmart god of war", "is this game still release on ps2 gen?" when they see AA game trailer./

If AAA keeps on getting more expensive, what choices left for the AA? you get similar experience but lengthy from the Persona Team, still a smart idea but practically, it's AAA title, you really get fewer limited choices with AA.
