Is everyone really ok with the new Fable game completely abandoning the original format... you know, start off as a young boy that grows/ages throughout the course of the game? That was a large part of the charm that has now been replaced with yet another unattractive female player character. What's the point in calling this 'Fable' if they have departed so far from the original concept?

Character looks fine, obviously this time they hit her with the beauty stick (just a gentle touch but that's nice enough)

About the game, huge kinect vibes from it, the animation mostly.
It's like a cgi wanting to pass itself for realtime gameplay.
A bit like the Indiana Jones reveal trailer. Which makes me wonder does microsoft have a trailer department which does trailers for every studios and that's why they are so uniform and weird ?

edit : nevermind my microsoft trailer dep comment, i just saw the perfect dark trailer and it looked crazy good and "real gameplay sequence" like (if that makes any sense).

Yep, i loved how fable 1 was structured.

I don't even care about the ugly protagonists that much if the writing is brilliant\funny, just gimme a proper fable game.

I wouldn’t have any problem if they stuck to the old format and allowed people to select male or female. At least then it would feel authentically Fable. The title ‘Chicken Chaser’ works for either gender, haha.

Her being the protagonist and having a character editor are 2 different things tho.

If she is the protagonist you don't have to create her to see her...because she is the selected protagonist

And if you have an editor, SHE IS NOT the protagonist.

I may be wrong but don't remember an actual character creator in the previous games.
Your character would transform according to your alignment, tattoos, agility or strength.
I also remember scratches & scars because I often fought naked

I got morbidly obese by eating every pie I could find and one of my husbands told me how disgusting my appearance had become, so I beat him.

If they still let you become a land whale in this one, I bet all the NPCs will go out of their way to tell you how beautiful and fierce you are.

Am I the only one that didn't like this trailer? I'm not talking about the face. Last year's trailer was a bunch of cutscenes. Now a year later they pull the same thing again. Even Perfect Dark had proper gameplay in its trailer (it looks awesome I want to add). This trailer has like 3 seconds of walking around. I don't count that as gameplay.

I think the console warriors need to get their story straight. Does it look worse than a 10 year old game, or is it clearly a pre-rendered bullshot? Maybe somehow it's both?

The game graphically and visually looks great, though. Never played one of these game, but might try it on PC.

Yeah she’s honestly not bad, I think it was mainly the lighting + some goofy ass facial expressions (along with people’s general fatigue with uglified/de-feminized women protagonists).

But the whole appeal of Fable was giving you total freedom and having the world (and your character’s appearance) react to your choices. If they force you to play as some predefined fierce girlboss character then this is Fable in name only. Hopefully that isn’t the case.

I don't mean to sound like an ass my friend, but those snippets were very short, like barely a second long each, with the character just walking around, aiming or having a cinematic takedown. That's just not it. After a year of waiting I expected something more. Now I need to wait another year to hopefully *then* see some sort of walkthrough.

Man, she is fucking UGLY!! Like intentionally ugly. Please let me customize the face, I’m not saying I want fucking stellar blade doll like faces but holy shit! I unironically find her way less insulting than sp2 maryjane or john dark from the recent perfect dark trailer, 2 femme fatales that look like fucking robert zdar
