I hate Muse. Am I awesome?


But yeah I don't buy new albums all that much... the world is full of good albums from any year or decade so I can just purchase about five old albums in the cost of a new one.

Then, you come out with a list that's alarmingly like the person whose list got bashed, and in fact is more in line with the insult used against that person's list, than the person who was insulted.

Yet, you are the one choosing to participate in the bashing.

This would take me way too long as my music tastes have changed so much in the past few years. The 2000's has been such a great year for music that I've been mostly ignoring since recently so a lot of the music I've been listening to I have no clue what the exact year it came out in. Maybe one day I'll figure it out.
 
2009: Raekwon - Only Built For Cuban Lynx II
Incredible album, I love the Wu and this is the best album from the Clan since Ghost's Fishscale
2008: M83 - Saturdays = Youth
I was into M83's older synth heavy ambient stuff, but it's even better when fused with 80's pop
2007: Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
Love both of their albums, I think they're the best rock band of this decade.
2006: Ghostface Killah - Fishscale
It's as close to perfection as a rap album can get, plus it introduced me to Wu
2005: Broadcast - Tender Buttons
Really cool band, very underrated
2004: Arcade Fire - Funeral
(this one was very tough, honorable mentions to: A Ghost is Born, A Basement on the Hill and Dead Cities/Red Seas)
2003: Ulrich Schnauss - "A Strangely Isolated Place"
One of my favorite albums ever, it brings back so many memories...beautiful music

2002: The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
Listened to Yoshimi all the time during High School, it brings back a lot of memories.

I still listen to this all the time, so creative so good

Classic.

I really enjoyed revisiting the music I've listened to over the last several years, I couldn't contain my enthusiasm (long post).

It isn't that something is bad because Pitchfork recommends it, but more that some people seem to be unwilling or incapable of seeking out interesting music without essentially being told "this is what you should listen to."
