So much potential was lost when Fear Effect's third game was cancelled in the early 2000s, but we can still celebrate the two games we got for PS1. Most people don't know what to make of the series when they see it for the first time, but hopefully this video sheds some light on what it's all about. Are you still holding out hope for a reboot or remake of some kind? How do you think they could improve these games if they did bring them back? If you enjoy older games with fixed cameras, stealth, and horror, you've got to give these a try.

This takes me back. I never did play the second one. The first game was frustratingly hard for me but was really cool and felt unique.

No we didn't, just like we didn't get Dino Crisis 3

If Capcom is smart, they'll make Dino Crisis 3 and make sure to label it as such.

With how much Square remasters and remakes certain titles, I'm actually surprised Fear Effect never got a remake

If they do another game and don't use the old techniques (3d character on a 2d animated background. tank controls) it will be a miss for me. It needs to be retro but in 4k.

They need to remaster or remake the first two games. That would possibly get more fans to jump on board. I wouldn't touch the franchise until that happens.

I think they could reboot it, but I think it would have very different gameplay and structure. Not sure a simple remaster would get people interested.
