They've already promised Part 3's will be easier to unlock.

There is one other thing actually, which I can say was a mistake on my part, something that I've already apologized for, and I definitely will not do again, which is how difficult I made it to get the Platinum Trophy... Rest assured I have learned from that and in future I will not be making Platinum Trophies that difficult.
For those of you who didn't play Rebirth, acquiring the Trophy was a massive time sink, that required at least two playthroughs, and completing all Normal and Hard Mode challenges of the minigames. The biggest filter was the Chadley Brutal and Legendary VR Missions. These consisted of many different 5-10 round gauntlets of battles against tough enemies and bosses. The latter half of these challenges consisted of overtuned bosses that could easily end you in seconds if you're not careful. Many of these gauntlets take between 20 to sometimes up to 60 minutes to complete. If you die, you start over and lose all that time you spent. If you were stuck on a certain round of one of these gauntlet challenges, you were basically timegated out of gittin gud or changing strategy, because you had to spend a lot of time fighting back up to the enemy you're struggling with. This led to many players either noping out, or relying on cheese methods to complete it.
Not sure if Hamaguchi was going through a divorce at the time, but I'm glad he's acknowledging they went too far.
