I've missed the thread for the past few days, but I assume it was filled mostly with talk about Ono's statement at SDCC.

There was some smexy UNIEL at NL last night. Other than that, I miss much?
 
I find it strange that the first and last seven or eight pages of every FGW thread is related to the thread title.

Well, looking forward to Ultra's release on PC in a week and a half!

In any case, I've haven't been this bored by a SF4 stream in a while. Feels like there's no energy for this event. Typically Mike and Combo on the mic would be all I'd need to feel entertained and good matches would be icing on the cake.
 
I think they're running through top 32, not top 16. It's gonna take awhile before you get to the good stuff.

I'm not interested in arguing this anymore because there wasn't much reasoning going on, but it's not really anything about marquee matches I was trying to argue. It was more of whether there was a presence of a clearer, narrower subset of players in Marvel that consistently place higher than the rest than when compared to Street Fighter. Flavoured a bit: Is there better evidence for "gods" or more well defined tiers/strata of players in Marvel when compared to Street Fighter at the end of the day?

Most of the debate was wasted on questioning why or what the variables would be to keep either-or more or less consistent than the other, but if there's some sort of bottom-line it would have been interesting to see the nature of things first and then try and deduce why one game is more consistent than the other, if that is the case, instead of the other way around.

Perhaps you can look to see what the distribution of game win rates is, and how many players exist beyond a certain SD in the distribution? Wouldn't be perfect and factor in everything, but it would be rough and marvel minion/SF savant fodder for a few good weeks.

Bowser needs it more than ever. Also, Village, is Sakurai's silence on the latest build not terrifying you? I feel like a huge megaton might come in within the next week.... My gut is right 60% of the time, which means its right all the time.

Eh... We will see. I try not to make solid bets on sakurai stuff unless is K. rool. K.rool aint getting into shit.

I would say wait for summer slam ( gamescon ) or something around that time, but thats just me.
