I've been playing for an hour, but still in Nibel.it clears up a great deal after the first hour
Good to know it's an optimization issue. Nothing a good, lubricated engine.ini file can't fix.I'm guessing people have already reported the horrendous frame pacing, when moving the camera.
It's not a performance issue, as changing resolution does nothing and I'm getting 60FPS, regardless of graphics settings.
SIGH! Hopefully SE when fix it, unless modders do their job, instead.
There is a spot called "The Story so far" on the main menu.Ive never played FF before and i jumped into rebirth.
Which recap on YT can i need to watch to get the gist of it?

Wait. Dlss 4 is already out?The only thing Medium changes is texture quality to medium instead of high, and reduces npcs and npc shadow distance. Everything else is on high. If I set textures to High I start running into vram stutter issues, but honestly the difference between high and medium isn't really noticable, so I just keep it on Medium, and enjoy a locked 60.
It gets better, If you inject DLSS4 there is a massive, noticable improvement in IQ.
EDIT - Should have mentioned I have 12gb vram, if I lock to 60 and then Lossless scale to 120 I get a very smooth experience. Unlocked fps I get around 70-80 with medium textures, and around 55-60 with massive lag spikes with high textures, it must be maxing out the vram or getting close to it. So medium it is.
Sure is. Its named 310.1.0.0.Wait. Dlss 4 is already out?
Like I could maybe remotely understand this mindset if this game would be like totally new, but it has been out for quite a while on playstation already.
Why rob yourself of the experience to enjoy the story properly by playing Part 1 first, instead of watching some shitty yt recap (even the best recap is still a shitty compromise).
so i can get a playstation
since you feel so strongly about me not playing the first
Nope. Ill take the L quietly in the cornerYou do realize the first one is available on PC as well, right?
Almost 30k players now, and people in EU are still working. It might hit 50k in the weekend, which would be solid for a JRPG released with a 1 year delay. We will see.
Both FF Remake and FF16 peaked on the first Sunday.
Yes, there is a post on Reddit. And a tutorial on YouTube.Does anyone know if it's possible to mod FSR3 into this on Steam Deck? I've been watching some gameplay and TAAU doesn't look great and since it supports DLSS I thought it may be possible.
If you go this page above. Click on the first link in the post. There'll be 3 DLSS files you can download. You only need the "nvngx_dlss.dll" file for VII Rebirth, you can disregard the other two. Once you've download that file, go into your Rebirth installation folder. Mines looks like this :
F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH\Engine\Plugins\DLSSSubset\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64
Copy that DLSS file you downloaded earlier into the folder above and overwrite the existing DLSS file that's already there. That'll bring Rebirth up to the most recent DLSS version and setting that you need.
This is great thanks. Had a look at the video and without FG it didn't look too bad. I'll mainly play it on my desktop but it'll be a nice companion piece.

Hmmm I’m getting tons of screen tearing with VRR somehow even with an LG Gsync OLED. Not sure why

Part 2:
O had to capture PC pictures in SDR, PS5 is doing HDR-SDR conversion for pics. That's why there is this gamma difference (most likely). Most of the assets are the same but there are some differences.
Remake doesn't have dlss. Or do you mean something else?Just got DLSS4 running and boy, while a bit sharp, I've seen GPU consumption drop and FPS rise. This is why I love PC. Thank you Early Cyberpunk 2077 release.
Edit: Is there any reason we cannot use this for the first game? Because... I am sure gonna give it a try, lol.
Edit2: It works! It also works with PoE2. Amazing. Even on the best quality option, GPU still doesn't budge pre-DLSS4, it was sucking down power like crazy. This is some fucking magic.
Game is huge. Plenty more to come! The sense of scope is palpable. Just getting out of the inn in Kalm and I feel like I'm in a huge metropolis, compared to the small areas of Remake. I guess Wall Market was the only big area in the first game.
Going for a bath, then I'm off exploring Kalm!

I play at 4K with DLSS on 66%.I just reach there and so far no noticeable stutters. I let the shaders compilation complete at launch and using X3D, not sure how much it helps
On 1080P Max settings with DLSS4 Ultrawide fix.
Everyone, question:
How open world is this game? For example, if I leave Kalm, can I return whenever I like? Do I have that freedom? Or is it the classic 'this is the point of no return, finish your business before proceeding' bullshit?

But at least some cups and plates are not "floating" anymore.Goddamn even with reworked lighting model it is bafflingly bad in interiors. UE4 showing its limits I guess
