Chaotic raid is pretty disappointing overall for me. It reminds me a LOT of WoW during BC when you needed to be keyed (Magtheridon) to progress to the next raid tier, and if you missed the initial rush, you were fucked for months until they removed that restriction. Obv with FFXIV this raid isn't a roadblock to anything else, but I have the same feeling of getting fail alliance after fail alliance like I did back then. Really the mech that is BS is the swap when a few people are dead messing up everything with towers after. Then you either waste LB on Tank LB to pass that and hit enrage or luck out with enough surviving and DD LB.

Finally got my Chaotic Raid clear. Honestly the fight is good fun when people actually know what they're doing. But when we're wiping to towers or swaps for the 50th time.... it gets tiring lol

Here's hoping reclears are smoother. I just want that damn cloud mount!

Reclears were NOT smoother, for the most part. I'm sure most NA raiders know this by now but NA PF is just a trash heap of liars and people who just don't know how to play their jobs. It's times like these where I am reminded of why I stopped Savage raiding in earnest. It's cool to dabble in these special Savage challenges every few years (BLU Savage, DRS, Chaotic) but that's all I can stomach these days. Don't miss the weekly reclear grind at all lol

Having said all that, as I said previously, I did enjoy the fight itself. But I'd prefer less body checks for the next Chaotic...


Oh and in case anyone was wondering, it took me exactly 40 clears to get enough demimateria I to buy the mount. Also saw the shroud mount drop 3 times, the dais mount once, and the hair twice. Never saw the minion drop.
