Outside of football teams Wooden has the best taste in movies/tv shows/games here imo..well I agree with him more than I do with the rest of you guys.

His music taste is a bit different, watched some Dillinger Escape Plan videos with my mates and just cracked up for ages, but overall he is usually right. :lol AssCreed. :lol Drive Club. pls.

oh boy, DEP... haven't heard them in years. thankfully.

Yeah I realised that as well, went back and edited it like eight times

Fuck.

Dunno if Coentrao will hack it; I see him play for Portugal and he's brilliant but for some reason he's shite at Madrid

I think he's complete shit defensively, but with that midfield ahead of him...he'll do.

I'd love to see Spurs' wage bill now though; you'd think if they can get Adebayor off the books they'd almost not have added to it at all.

BAE, Parker, Huddlestone, Livermore and Caulker all out probably took 200k+ a week off without even taking Bale into account, so 300k a week?

Probably splashing out an extra 150k a week and they've improved their squad massively.

Rising from the wasteland like a phoenix from the ashes.
The campus will be glorious.

Also the PL allows a further £4m/year from the additional TV money to be spent on wages, so just under £80/week there too.

Would have thought the wage bill has still been raised a fair bit...Spurs surely have to land a CL place now, can't afford not to with all these players. AVB certainly can't afford not to.

At least after Spurs have signed these players it means that we will not be competing with Spurs for the signature of the next set of players we look at.

Parker was on something like £70k per week. I do hope we get rid of Ade. Such a waste of space. Would prefer to give one of the academy graduates a go tbh. Get his £80k off the wage bill.

Parker alone was on 70k a week (Redknapp...) and BAE & Huddlestone were only similar wages as well. We've probably shifted out more than 200k if you include Dempsey as well.

£93m for a player. SMH.

Have Spurs improved through these series of deals though? Of course it's impressive that they appear to have so swiftly replaced Bale, but neither Willian nor Lamela have ever come close to matching Bale's contribution, even combined - and that's assuming they can both fit in the same team.

Not to mention that every transfer is a gamble, even expensive, fairly proven players like Willian. I would suggest that losing Bale and bringing in the 2 is a weakening for Tottenham in the end.

Now, that's not to say the they won't get fourth; their team is still stronger than last season. My point is that their team right this second - with Bale and without Willian/Lamela - is stronger than what it will become.

City tried for like 3 years until you came, good luck.

Even that's a pay deal from what I remember. City pay half his wages I think (total £160k per week, Spurs and City split it 50/50).

I think what will happen is we will let him go on a free because he won't want to sign for £50-60k per week which is what Levy will offer.

Bale is a goner though, it's about arriving to the best possible outcome - they were never going to be able to sign a player of Bale's ability.

You'd have to say this is pretty close to replacing him in the best they way possible could. Willian is 25, Lamela still just 21 and a very gifted talent.

On the whole I think their teams gets stronger this window, considering the addition or Paulinho and Soldado.

His original contract at City expires in 2014, and I read he got a simple payoff from City. Seems like your contract is until 2015, I'll be impressed if someone will take him off you before then.

Rose was really good last season and was their best player on Sunday as well I thought, not like he won't be able to deputise.

Fuck me, why weren't we in for Paulinho? Why vulva

Why can't we get Lamela? Why vulva

Why vulva

nope he's staying and going on a free, he likes that money and knows nobody else will pay him that much

Yes, but people suddenly placing Spurs 3rd, or suggesting they will be title challengers are overestimating things - they will surely be weaker without Bale, as I pointed out, regardless of whether they have done a very good job replacing him or not.

thanks for reminding me how much i hate screamed vocals.

i usually get my musical masturbation fix from Spiral Architect:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sobVnsf0X3c

should be right up your alley.

The music itself is certainly giving enjoyment to my anus, but will have to be the other way around and truly hate his vocals, sounds like something from fucking Iron maiden or a German heavy metal band. TDEP actually started singing a lot more recently though , especially on one of us is the killer.

who we in for now is that us for this window?

i'd rather we save cash than buy some 3rd 4th choice player just to appease the fans.

we just need to accept our lot in life and know we are targeting Europa League

Ah, yeah I agree with that.

Even with those players signed I don't think they're in the title race, not this season anyway. Alot of new players.

Gotta say Twitter is amazing right now. Willian is now either: not good enough for LFC, is way overpriced, will be a Sigurdsson-esqe flop or Willian isn't actually stopping in London and is just on his way to John Lennon.
