I reckon there's some truth to this. He didn't like the driving position on the 2022 car, it was too far forward and asked them to change it in 2023 but they didn't. Maybe he saw they hadn't changed it for 2024 and made the decision to leave. I guess we'll see when they reveal the cars.My guess is Lewis tested this year's merc and was like "Yeah this ain't it, fam. I'm out"
I rate him higher than Russel at the moment. In equal machinery however that is anyone's guess.Albon should definitely be on top of Merc's list now that he can't go to Ferrari. He's developed a lot and achieved a lot in the Williams shitbox.
