Frasier (2023) | Teaser | Paramount+

I don't care what David Hyde Pierce says. Force the man to return. Overall I am happy with how the reboot turned out but as others have said the cast needs to be around more. Great seeing Peri return but the show is missing Frasier and Nile's hilarious, bungling sibling rivalry.

The christmas episode was fantastic. Easily the best yet and could have fit right in with the old show. Season 2 pls.

Also Friends is great. Sure it has plenty of lame moments but at its best it has some of the strongest writing of any US sitcom.

I don't care what David Hyde Pierce says.

I'm sure he's open to returning at some point I think. He just didn't want to be Niles all day every day anymore, and I can respect that.

Just started this and it is FANTASTIC.

Took a bit for the new characters to settle in but I'm enjoying this immensely.

Eve is quite fetching but that psych dept head with her hair down....yowza! Hitting all sorts of teacher fetishes!

This is absolutely worth your time if you like comedy.

S2 kinda feels on par with the first for me, roughly halfway through the season. It's not awful and has its bright spots, but the characters still lack a lot of chemistry for me.

In the original run for instance, all five of the main leads (Frasier, Niles, Martin, Roz, Daphne) had a distinct relationship with each other. But in this reboot, only a few relationships are really notable like any of those were. Frasier/Alan is probably the best part, and Frasier/Freddie has its moments but the rest feel pretty unmemorable. Eve's acting is good but she doesn't get much to do, Olivia feels overly awkward for a Harvard head, and David's clumsiness just isn't landing for me.

It's okay though. Just not best-sitcom-ever material like the original run.

I regret that we were this close to the reboot being "Frasier and Niles struggle to run an opera house in Seattle." THAT would've been incredible television.

Friends is the litmus test for people with terrible senses of humor. So many people I’ve met in various settings where it becomes apparent I can’t stand them, inevitably brings up how they love Friends out of nowhere.

I didn't know this character existed in real life, but you proved me wrong.
