You're such a weeb

I remember eating sushi for the first time and going in with pretty high expecations. It's considered a somewhat expensive "delicacy" and the glorious people of Nippon love it, gotta be great, right?

Well, no, it's fucking raw fish in rice and tastes about as good as it sounds. Well, no shit, considering japan is this island full of fisherman, obviously they like this type of stuff. Keeping that in mind kinda changed my outlook on some Japanese cuisine, they love this shit because they've been brainwashed to eat this for generations. Koreans are seemingly even worse, 90% of their food is stuff I would at most feed to my imaginary cat.

Now obviously there's tons of great japanese (and korean) food as well. Soba, Ramen, the Miso you mentioned and obviously all various forms of "yaki niku", which is literally "grilled meat". What I'm saying is, as long as we ditch all the weird fish and cabbage stuff and go back to throwing meat on grills, there's a lot of common ground to be found :3

Nah hearing will do nothing. You have to be there to see how it's made. Or look at the ingredients lmao. Btw is it me or are ingredients, you know, keep getting smaller font wise. Need a fucking telescope to read that shit nowadays

I quickly want to add: I don't hate hate Sushi. It's "fine, whatever", and I can see people enjoying it.

But, for the life of me, you can't tell me you'd rather have Sushi than some juicy spare ribs or a great home made burger or something? There's like a thousand things better than Sushi, so why ever eat Sushi?

Well taste is subjective and mood/food.

I'm dreading the next few days in the UK. Although not that cold it's now cold enough I have to put the heating on most of the time for the old dear, and fook me, is it expensive. Luckily its not that bad on my end and I can pay it but the price of energy here is abhorrent. We can't go on like this, I can't hold out forever at this rate

this week has been quite mild compared to last week. today has been baw chillin and i fired the heatin on for a bit.

i signed up for a fixed 2 year tariff so while it is still expensive it is not as high as it would be.
