Jason Schreier:If you're wondering — one reason to randomly drop a Switch 2 teaser 2.5 months ahead of the proper reveal would be to allow third-party companies to start officially announcing their games for the system

Don't get your hopes up. If they want to announce the games by themselves instead of showing on the proper reveal, we are probably talking about shit titles that Nintendo doesn't even want Associated with their console.

I imagine most big heavy hitting 3rd party games in the last 4 years.

Curious to see if the Halo rumor is true. I imagine it'd be said at MS's presentation if it is.

I can see lots and lots of ports from PS5 and Xbox Series.

Some yes, but I don't know about lots. The Switch 2 will have a similar power disadvantage vs the PS5 as the original Switch does vs PS4. Probably even bigger actually. PS4 to PS5 is about 5.6x in pure TF (plus a much better CPU), all leaks point to the Switch to Switch 2 jump being significantly smaller.

There's DLSS to help with image quality, but that doesn't do anything for anything else.

Those long posts don't cover that red neck boy
Too bad Schreier has yet to announce his retirement from this medium, knowing full well that big corpo thinks Schreier is a reliable asset.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Most studios, outside of the obvious heavy hitters, are learning about the Switch 2 at the same time as everyone else. Not just indies. Nintendo will no doubt be having conversations with and shipping out hardware to the little guys over these next few months. I wouldn't be surprised to see a September launch given that they're going to want to have at least some of that software ready.
