Both of you are wrong. “When people sell stock the price goes down” is factually, mathematically, and logically incorrect.
Volume movements have nothing to do with price.
A stock can see the most movement it’s seen in a decade, and the price could be going up, not down.
You could at least read a HowStuffWorks page before coming here and schooling us, Jesus. It's not necessary to embarrass yourself that badly. Or maybe, read an article, or watch a movie with any stock trading. Anything.
No thanks. I don’t get my financial information and knowledge from a Reddit or Discord investing group.
So...magazines? I'm unsure where you think daily price volatility comes from if not supply/demand of the stock. Yeah the price CAN be going up in high volume...and?
Yes, Nintendo Power actually.
Excuse me sir, but that is insider trading.
Joke’s on you, I lost money on every investment so there’s nothing left to sue me for.
Too late now. Should have bought during the period when there was complete silence.Buy the dip!
I'm genuinely surprised that people seem to think I'm attacking Nintendo or their product and not just sharing something I saw that I thought was interesting. People must feel threatened by everything now. This happens almost every gen with Nintendo. Can’t blame the OP for the reports that are out there.
‘Nintendo Stock in Freefall as Investors Reject Underwhelming Switch Sequel’THAT'S IT! NINTENDO'S GONNA GO THIRD-PARTY! THEY'VE LOST.
I gotta admit, I haven’t seen the hook yet.
If Switch plays the same games (cross-gen), and the graphics are only slightly updated due to handheld limitations, why not just spend that money on games instead of buying a new console?
It’s still early but they need to show a bigger reason to upgrade.

Nuance is not our specialty all the time. It’s a story as old as time that Nintendo stock always moves based on announcements more than the other 2 majors since it is a less diversified company.I'm genuinely surprised that people seem to think I'm attacking Nintendo or their product and not just sharing something I saw that I thought was interesting. the war chest tho, they can coast a flop as long as its not bleeding money like the ps3Nintendo main problem is that one blunder is all it can take to bring it down to its knees.

Emooootional damage. It's scary how many normally smart people this headline fooled.
If they are not taking losses on each console sold why would they burn through their reserves? genuinely askingMy point is Nintendo have no backups now, they used to mask N64, Gamcube, WiiU flops with their handheld devision which generally been very successful throughout. Now, a major blunder means there is no safty net and they will burn through their cash reserves fast.

The Wii U era was close to that, Wii U was a flop and the 3DS was nowhere near the success the DS was
All of this is hypothetical btw, worse case scenario i dont think switch2 will do that bad and they still have the switch1 as safety net they can drop the price on that and continue selling like Sony did with the PS2
That is true, but don't underestimate nintendo they are equally stingy when it comes to getting deals lolThis we don't know, and dont forget that their chip supplier is Nvidia (scummiest and most aggressive vendor)
But yeah I agree with you on Switch 1 being sold and generating revenue.
