we gonna get a OT for this?

Yeah the game does come out on Tuesday... I can try to make something up, but I don't feel qualified for it since I haven't played the first two GoWs in years, and have yet to pick up three.

Does anyone know anything about the Preorder bonus stuff? I want to get it at Kmart due to them giving out a $15 coupon but I want the preorder stuff. Will Kmart get it or is it literally only for places that do preorders?

I'd imagine it's only for places that do preorders. I know GameStop and Amazon have it (with GameStop having an extra exclusive DLC), and I heard Best Buy would as well, but I didn't see any preorder boxes for it, and there's no mention of anything in next week's ad.

:( I was afraid of that.

Good interview with Dana Jan, the game director.

And one interesting fact. Cory Barlog helped with the story

TPS: How much influence and control did you guys have over the story? Is that something that's being developed by Ready At Dawn?

DJ: Yeah. We worked on the story with Sony. We worked on it with somebody else. I guess... should we just say it? It's one of those things that keeps coming up. You know who [BLANK] is right? He directed God of War 2. He's in the credits on here but he doesn't like to be mentioned in these things. So you probably shouldn't write him in there. But anyway, just for your knowledge, we wrote the story together with him. He's in the credits, credited for the story.

Finished it yesterday after 5 hours (didn't rush). I completed CoO in 4 hours on my first playthrough (both on normal). So the 25% longer seems to be okay, but this is by no means a 8-10 hours game.

But that aside, this game is so damn awesome, hard to believe I played this on the PSP, soooo epic :D

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

If you're a hard core player and a veteran of the series, do yourself a favor and set the difficulty to Hard -- It's really there for you.

Normal is pretty easy and is designed for new players in mind.

This should also increase the game time as well.

We've done quite a few play tests and as I'm sure you know, game time very quite a bit depending on who's playing (previous skill level, overall skill level, player type (explore Vs completest, etc). On average it does take people 7-8 hours. It can of course be completed faster...

I want to have fun and "enjoy" the game the first time I play it. Also PSP controls are unlike PS3

I'm just trying to point out, if we set the normal difficulty too hard we risk alienating the new players. If we set it more on the easy side, the hard core and better players will boast or knock how short the game is.

To me, if you've beat the game in 5 hours -- well the game difficulty was not matched up correctly to your personal skill level ;-)

But, it's your choice to make -- play it how you want to.

I don't even care how long this game was, this was the best time I ever spent on my PSP!
And I always play a GoW 2-3 times, so next playthrough will definitely be on hard. I just don't want to get "frustrated" over some parts in my first playthrough and just enjoy the epicness :D
