Sony also can't control the leaks. They have some (stupid) plan for telling people and they aren't going to change because some people snagged on already.

I'm with jett on this. The only way this whole debacle can be amicably resolved is with a Kevin Butler PSA regarding GT5. The only way.

So since Sony/PD has such a good relationship with Mercedes, is the MGP-W01 too much of an ask? I say why not.

I was genuinely surprised to see the F10, the only F1 car I was expecting to see in the full game was the F2007.

OT: PS Eye is an integral part of Move. It's 4x the resolution and twice the framerate as EyeToy, and with larger sensors to perform better in low light.

Move doesn't work with EyeToy at all because it's not up to snuff.

I suspect they'll just run GT5 ads featuring Kevin Butler with a release date in it and then post an announcement of the ad and release date on PSBlog. And for Europe one of those shitty Get Started ads.

Possibly a passing mention of this fiasco, or they'll pretend none of this ever happened.

Not anytime soon though.

Not only that but not a single peep coming from US, EU or Japan at all. Not a single. Sony sewn their mouths completely shut for seemingly no reason whatsoever. A simple "We missed our production deadline. New release date is so and so". Thats it!!! That's all everyone is asking. Instead, these bumble fucks call for a comment-deletion spree on PS blog for any comments leaking already leaked GT5 info. Guess what you nincompoops. Internet is like sand. I read Sony in three possible ways:

A) They're going to have a surprise announcement of "it's shipping NOW!" followed by the game being in stores shortly,
B) There isn't a set release date yet, so everyone is trying to patch up all the leaks,
C) They do have a release date but are being complete morons in not announcing it.

I really do believe it's A. I really, really do.

I really wanted to sit down with the game and see them for myself on a HD screen.

Good possibilities but really you think A? Sony spent $60m on development of GT5, at least they want to market the game before it releases, no? And besides, when did "o hey guys its out in stores now lol" campaign ever worked in the past? Sega Saturn is a 15 year old example and it didn't really do stellar sales-wise. At this point all my readings are pointing towards C.

I dont know, i think with the way preorders work these days, if they were to do a surprise announcement, that would also mean everyones credit cards get charged on a date they arent aware of.

Maybe thats not a big deal but i just wonder if there are repercussions like that scattered about the market.

The PSEYE is awesome. I use mine as a webcam for my desktop PC all the time. Even making little videos with Eye Create can be entertaining. I'm really excited to try out the head tracking.

I just want you all to know that we here at PSN Store feel your frustration at not being told more about the release date of GT5. While I can not confirm the exact date that all of you will be able to purchase the game in store I can tell you that it will be released shortly after Xenogears is available for download in the PSN Store. I have been playing GT5 for the past 2 days here in SCEA PSN HQ and I can assure you it is worth the wait.

Deal with it.
