IDK, this looks fake to me, because it looks like it's straight GTA V engine. Even looking at this as early alpha footage nothing resembles the updated engine used for RDR2 here.
I personally don't care if it's cross gen because RDR2 shipped on last gen consoles and that game still looks amazing, with some extra polish for PS5/XSX it will look fine, but yeah this Alpha footage is still sus.

Could be that they are testing the engine to see how well it scales across different hardware. I wouldn't read into that too much if I'm honest.
Just know that the game is going to look absolutely amazing from a graphics perspective.

well the more likely answer is that this is footage from years ago when PS5 barely existed yet so they were using a PS4. and we are maybe 2+ years away still....and PS4 has about a year left in its lifecycle. No chance PS4 is getting big AAA games in 2025...except maybe NBA 2k and Madden
