Since 2008, every Rockstar title has been delayed after being announced. Its fair to be skeptical when it's will surely be the biggest game of all time. And Rockstar won't release GTA 6 unless it is running flawlessly.

Things could still change. We will probably know by May or June whether it truly is releasing this fall. Still plenty of time to delay

But this already got delayed once.

At some point they are gonna release what they have.

we're in February. It probably won't come out in December so that means that between now and November we need to get the full marketing campaign. new trailers. gameplay. preorders. reviews. etc

i don't think Rockstar has ever done a short marketing campaign. For GTA V we only waited 8 months after the first trailer before we got some screenshots and that was while they are showing off Max Payne 3. 2nd trailer was out roughly a year after the first trailer. It was another 10 months after trailer 2 before the game actually released. Don't forget the original Spring 2013 release date.

GTA VI trailer has been out since 14 months and we've heard nothing.

Of course it's possible they are keeping quiet and going to do 6-9 months of marketing.

But as each day passes 2025 seems less and less likely. Take Two might have said it's still on track for this year but that was 3 days ago and we still have no idea when the next trailer or piece of info is coming. We're almost into the middle of February.

I wouldn't worry too much just yet but if we get nothing in the next couple months then definitely going to be 2026.

I'm curious how the 5090 will perform with GTA VI when it comes out on PC?

In all honesty gta doesnt need a long marketing cycle and it might even hurt it more

Just do trailer 2 in a month or two, I say may. And then you do the gameplay thing closer to release, maybe somewhere in the summer/end of summer.

Then you release it in november with an appropriate marketing cycle thats at least a month long

i have no idea. i have a 5090 too. PC version likely won't come out until at least 1+ year after consoles. early 2027 is my guess if we actually get VI this year. by that time the 5090 will be 2 years old and we'll be on or ready move to 6000 cards.

i remember when I got V on PC i had a gpu that met the recommended specs but it couldn't do 1080p 60fps. it wasn't until I got a 1070 that I could bump things up to near max.

VI will hit hard. I think even a 6090 will struggle to push it all out. Just like Witcher 3 we'll probably need the next gen cards after whatever is available at launch before we can max it out.

all i mean is that it's not like Rockstar to do short marketing for their main titles.

if it comes out this year of course i'll be over the moon but i'm not getting my hopes up for it. been saying 2026 all along since they showed 2025 in the trailer. whatever Rockstar tell you at first then add more time on to it. It'll get delayed either publicly or internally.

I don't have a 5090 but 4070 but i know you have a 5090 from the PC Hardware thread, thats why i asked. I think the 5090 will do just fine with GTA VI considering its coming out on this gen consoles.

sorry i thought you were the person who had posted something about a 5090 lol.

yeah it'll definitely run it and handle it but pushing the game to max i think it'll struggle. PC will have higher settings than consoles.

Do we even need another trailer? People are already sold on it, so a short „out now teaser“ around the time, the game is released, is completely fine.

I know that’s just wishful thinking, but it would be great to go into the game knowing so little.
I mean I could also just not watch any new teasers or trailers, but once it’s out, it’s impossible to resist.

That Take-Two invester call of whatever it was a few days ago still has GTA VI release set for Fall 25.

With Fall being only 8-9 months away and only having 1 trailer so far, i hope we get 2-3 new trailers and screenshots over the next 8 months, i just can't see it though, im expecting a delay to Spring 2026.
