so how many times have you finished the campaign so far?

and would you recommend going in Harden difficulty for first play through or normal?

Halo 5 plot synopsis leak:

Spartan: chief you betrayed us come with us so you don't steal our debut thunder

Chief: no I r have mission about doesn't afraid of aliens or anything.

*fights aliens and doesn't afraid of anything*

Spartan: chief I don't approve of this

Chief: I have mission control u can't stop. Watch out Spartan u r being betrayed by government man

*chief deflects government man knife*

Govt man: hisssss hisssss you may have deflected my betrayal knife but you won't stop me from getting the space oil hisssss hisssss

Spartan: whoaaaa chief you were right the whole time and didn't betray us who would have guessed that besides everybody

It's pretty obvious that you have a promising future in game development.

haha. I had a long conversation about you and your ilk before we released. It's marketing. There are many audiences.

I get that.

It's still disgusting though.

I'll just never understand that kind of jarring tonal shift. It had a great vibe going and blasted me out of that mood that it already established so well.

W/e though. Game is hawt and the content was hawt.

Edit: what kind of "conversations?" lol =)

I was worried when you guys said it featured Muse as I'm not the biggest fan in the world, but that only kicks in for the second half. And Knights of Cydonia? Hell yeah, that really works well in the trailer.

Set phasers to hype.

"Gameplay" is a bit generous for a majority of the trailer. Also, the song fit as a trailer song but it seemed sort of out of place for Halo to me.

Should have used Taylor Swift for that mass appeal.

But seriously i was hoping for atleast a bit of the classic halo theme right at the end.

Good trailer orherwise.

Y'all that are more excited for Locke than Chief should be ashamed. Have you no honor?

Nah, cause we all know that Chief will get his due. I am simply more excited for a bad ass looking new character and his development towards a moment I think we can all see coming.

We've played as Chief for 4 games already and haven't had a playable Halo character other than him since Reach. So yes, I certainly am more excited to play as Locke than Chief.

Still love Chief though.

What you mean is that you don't like it. Which is fine. But as you can see in this thread, a lot of people do like it.

"Disgusting" is kind of overkill too. Tonally opposite Mashups like this have been around literally since the 60s.

As a huge Halo fan this got me excited again because what happened with the MCC launch and how broken that game is I feel like this will be a bounce back for 343.

Let's save hyperbole like "disgusting" for dumbshits who put mayo on french fries.

My favorite Halos have one thing in common - MC wasn't in them. I'm honorless.

You and me both ODST and Reach were the best campaigns.

IMO chief needs to be moved to the background. As a thing or important person to be observed for a while.

Sorry if that's offensive or overkill, but that aspect of the trailer is disgusting to me. I don't see how that it's hyperbole though because it literally made me recoil in disapproval.

Opinions/personalities and such.

Still loved the trailer itself broskie.

If an aspect of a video game trailer literally made you recoil in disapproval and disgusted you, you probably should re-evaluate your life priorities.

I mean, anything would sound better with the Halo score over the top, but this is the launch trailer for a huuugely widespread audience. Totally understandable that people don't like the song choice, but the music beats tie in really nicely with the footage - the guitar riff kicking in as Buck hits the ground running and gunning at 1:23, the gameplay introduction at 1:34 into the snow level. It's a trailer of two halves, the first half of it is the build up, the cinematic stuff, then Muse kicks off with the gameplay 'reveal'. I guess when non score music is used over the tops of ads like this, its more common for it to be over the whole ad.

Seriously? What kind of logic is that?

I have been a massive fan of the series and it's story and music. Getting into the story and the trailer's mood and then being bombarded by that tonal shift was akin to hearing an alarm clock when waking up.

I didn't even mean for my comment to get so much attention and I mean no offense to those who enjoyed the trailer or 343. I still loved the trailer and I love the game.

Gawd.

Can i just play as Nathan Fillion the whole time? I assume in COOP the player who isn't the host gets to pick and if so i am forcing my buddy to host.

Was into the trailer until the Muse, but hey, whatever it's marketing so they have to go with whatever gets the most eyeballs I suppose.

Guys...just beware of spoilers (not necessarily in this trailer).

Reddit mentioned some potential spoilers being found in some posts.

Just go into cryo for the next 2 weeks. You've been warned.

Lol @ Locke giving MC orders.

Okay buddy

Yup. Locke and his little team are so cute. Maybe not Buck though. He seems to have some common sense when it comes to who they are hunting.

If a conflict between the two teams is anything other than a totally one sided stomp where Blue Team totally outclasses Osiris, I'll be pretty disappointed. We've read about blue team and their ridiculousness for a decade now; and if a hastily put together team of Spartan 4's stands a chance in 343's Halo I'll be pissed.
