It's not about it bothering people that irks me, it's that they gum up threads or concern troll. We've known now for two+ years the game was aiming for 60fps, this was inherently going to require a sacrifice to visual fidelity. Some people come in and start saying, go play blah blah game on PC and see the difference, and therein lies the rub. The Xbox One isn't PC. If you compared them spec wise on a factual number basis, it would be a low end PC. They'll compare other games, other genres to make their point. But how many First Person Shooters on Xbox One look like Halo 5, while maininysing fully 60fps without so much as more than single dropped frames? Even Call of Duty Black Ops 3 dips to high 40's despite it.
I mean what do these folks want? Xbox One isn't going to have stronger hardware soon, Halo 5 isn't going to go back to 30fps, 343 is probably working with all the Xbox One designers like they did for 360 and Halo 4 to try and get as much power out of the box as they can. It's the first Halo game of the generation, much like Halo 3. If they could have had better textures while doing 60fps, they would, wouldn't they? Let's pixel peep and zoom into a screenshot from a small trailer as indicative of the gameplay. Let's ignore all the other things the game does right, to focus on the few negatives. This is the way the industry is now. Nothing else matters except the negative. Go ahead and compare Battlefront, Destiny, Call of Duty on Xbox One and then Halo 5. Battlefront is running at 720p, Halo 5 at its lowest resolution of 1152x810 gives you more pixels in the image than 1280x720.
I don't know, I mean at this point, it just feels like complaining for the sake of complaining to me.
