Ambien is a really fucked up drug. I take it once or twice a week along with melatonin to help get me to sleep, but there was a time I took 2 at once and shit was really weird. I had the strangest thoughts going through my head and got these cold sweats and imagined static objects animating even though I was aware nothing was going on. I just kind of laughed and masturbated until i was pouring sweat despite not even being aroused...and forgot about the whole experience until a day later when I saw the websites I was looking at. It was totally fucked and I can see someone who's already really lacking in sleep and is sick having much bigger problems from it.

Yeah I'm reluctant to go too in-depth on my own Ambien experiences but as I expressed earlier I do not understand how this is considered to be a 'mild' or 'safe' drug.

Suffice to say my days...weeks...after tossing the stuff...were frequently peppered with my wife staring at me in disbelief and saying "you don't remember that?" There are huge chunks of time, even when I hadn't been on it for a couple of days, that I have no memory of whatsoever.

I honestly can't remember the websites anymore. I still get strange thoughts in my head when taking just 1 ambien...usually funny thoughts, but sometimes strange and aggressive thoughts like having sex with someone really hard and wanting to really hurt the person. It's odd for me since I'm generally a pleasant enough guy.

I first started taking ambien about 2 years ago, and when I mixed it with the anti-depressants I was taking at the time I started saying some really strange stuff. One night I remember laying in bed with my ex girlfriend and I kept saying "uno" over and over again at random times and while we were having sex I told her that she looked like a rabbit. I forgot about it and didn't believe her when she told me until a few days later when I had taken one with my prozac + topomax while playing cribbage with my roommate and I started saying "uno" again.

:lol

I don't even know why I care enough to keep at this, but you're totally interpreting this the wrong way. Do you honestly think that the person who set up that display had dollar signs in his eyes as he did it? I can't think of a nicer thing to do to honor a dead actor at a fucking DVD store than setting up an individual display of DVDs as a tribute.

I've never seen such misguided cynicism...

This is what I was arguing earlier when people were complaining about the talk of Batman. If an author dies you may want to read his books as tribute; a musician you listen to their albums; an actor you watch their movies. I'm not entirely too sure setting up a display is just a matter of the money that can be got, because let's face it... a dead actor probably isn't incentive enough for people to buy movies, and even if it were with the stock the store would have of Heath Ledger movies the money would be pretty much insignificant.

I myself plan on buying some Ledger movies I don't have for my marathon this weekend, so hopefully they'll be easy to get a hold of!

I'm also in full support of 4chan destroying the fucks at Westboro - these assholes are a pox on their religion and all of humanity.

Yeah, I make a bottle of the stuff stretch for about 3-4 months now if I can. My problem is that if I don't take it at all, there are strings of days where I can go without sleep even though I desperately tried to. Ambien is what I use just to establish a sleeping pattern for a few days and take it again if I can tell I won't be able to pass out.

Waking up in the middle of sleep while on Ambien is very similar to having a hangover without a headache. I completely lose my balance, am unsure of my surroundings, and don't really know what to do.

http://www.tmz.com/2008/01/23/five-different-drugs-found-in-heaths-apartment/

TMZ has learned what types of pills were discovered in the apartment where Heath Ledger was found dead.

NYPD sources tell TMZ that nearly full pill bottles containing the anti-anxiety medications Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium), Lorazepam (Ativan) were found in the apartment. The sleeping medication Zoplicone (Lunesta) and the sedative Temazepam (Restoril) -- which is used by people with "debilitating insomnia" -- were also found.

All of the drugs were prescribed to Ledger.

Jeez, he really had trouble with sleeping @_@

Why do we need Christian leaders or the fucking pope to condemn this looney and his actions? I'm sure there are plenty of christians and catholics and Jedis in this thread alone that have voiced an opinion that differs greatly from the westboro lunatics.

I myself believe in Jesus Christ (not sure if I subscribe to christianity though), and feel that people like Phelps are a cancer in humanity. If there was something I could personally do to shut the man up, point me in that direction.
That's the point. There's a double standard floating around the punditsphere that Muslim leaders need to specifically condemn every single wacky fundie act performed in their religion's name. If they do not, then they're somehow endorsing the acts.

Great if you're trying to generate a fearblasted hellscape through which you wish to navigate your sheep/readers to the conclusion that a huge swath of people are actively plotting your demise every waking second etc, nutty if you actually believe it.

Nah, I think it's more likely that they hate religious fuckwits.

They're calling them asking about battletoads as we speak I think.

Weird stuff: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22788914/

1. The masseuse called an Olsen twin before dialing 911 - Kinda weird.
2. The housekeeper went in at 1pm and saw Ledger sleeping, snoring in bed with the sheets on.
3. At 2:45pm the masseuse went in and found him unconscious. Still in bed, apparently. Then she called Olsen, who was going to send over her bodyguard or something. Then the masseuse called 911...at 3:26...41 minutes later.

Autograph hounds carry their files with them at all times. Used to see these guys outside of 30 Rock and movie premieres.

It looks to me like he just had a collection of photos that he wanted signed, seeing as he also had one from The Shining in his hand.

A former co-worker collected over 7,000 autographed photos between the early-'90s and 2005. He just carried photos of people he thought he was likely to see, and only when he went to a premiere or a party. I went to a few premieres with him, but just to see the movie early and free, with free refreshments.
The guy has an amazing collection of celebrity breast slip photos, too. We're talking full accidental exposure from dozens of celebrities who will never ever do nudity. He'll never sell them or put them on the internets, though.

I don't think it's particularly strange. If these are Olsen's people, they are probably more than familiar with the tabloids, and have some sort of code for handling "situations."

This made me think of that scene in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back where they're talking about getting a dead hooker out of Ben Affleck's trailer. Don't know why.

Anyways, don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread but CNN.com has a listing of stories from random people and some of them about Ledger are really touching.

Interesting point, but if the masseuse realized something was wrong, 911 should have been the first call...and a relatively quick call, at that. I think life and death transcends any type of code.

Obviously, though, we don't know exactly what the masseuse (hereby referred to as the girl) did to try to wake him or if Ledger was still breathing at the time the girl arrived. If he was still breathing, then perhaps the girl didn't grasp the immediacy of the situation.

It probably was a touchy situation for the girl, too. With the way celebrities are treated, it is reasonable to think that the girl didn't go to great lengths to wake him up for fear of making him mad or whatever.

I don't think there's anything suspicious about the time line here. By what they think the time of death was, he was dead when the masseuse arrived anyway.

At 2:45 p.m., Wolozin showed up for her appointment with Ledger, who didn’t answer when she knocked on his door. She then tried to call him on his cell phone, but again got no response. She went into the bedroom, set up her massage table and again tried to wake Ledger.

We don't have the time of the first phone call to the Olsen twin, we just have the time of when the masseuse showed up for her appointment, and she apparently got her shit set up before she even bothered to wake him, and who knows how long that takes.

The article also states that Olsen's people showed up at the same time as emergency people, and I really doubt that Mary Kate would trust the masseuse to destroy evidence or do anything dirty.

The time line is fine. You'd be surprised how weird things get when you discover there's a corpse in the room.

Dude, a guy I work with suddenly, excitedly exclaimed "YES!" yesterday.

I look over his shoulder and it was the news of Ledger's death.

And he's all like "God punished that fag!"

:\

I mean seriously.

What the fuck is wrong with people? Okay, okay I live in Ohio - but still that's really no excuse for this sort of shit.

Of course dickhead couldn't be reasoned with.

Tell me about it. I was shocked and fuking disgusted when I saw the tabloids today, they were like "Misterious death of the Gay cowboy". Wtf indeed.

That all reminds me of when Pelle Dead killed himself and Oystein first took pictures and scavenged for bits of skull before eventually calling police. Granted, the dude was pretty obviously dead and Oystein sure as hell was not a masseuse, but still... the similarities, they are there.

Nah I just pointed out that he also portrayed a priest on film, and y'know - just an actor.

I knock him around when he starts attempting to invade my personal space anyhow. Don't want any more sandy vaginas because I shove him into his desk yet again. :lol

I don't really see how the situations are similar, considering that the dude that took the pictures had to go out and drive to even get a camera, whereas here, there are like 10 "missing" minutes. And like you said, Dead was obviously dead and a member of a black metal band. He probably wanted his mates to take the time to fish around for bits of bone!

Basically. And 4chan won't destroy westboro, not that they ever had the power to do so. Why? Too big of a source of lulz. Westboro is a comedy goldmine.
