If anyone remembers my previous thread about my bro selling me his TV well decided not to get it. Im going to get one of these suckers and dont know which one is better. So if there are any experts here let me know which one I should buy.

If you're going LCD the 2 keys are :

pixel response time - the faster (smaller number in ms), the better. High pixel response time will lead to ghosting and make gaming suck on your LCD.

contrast ratio - this will measure how well your set does with darks. Higher number:1 is what is better.

The next category is the brightness of the LCD. The more candles the better.


After looking at both of these sets (and I certainly suggest you see them in person) I would most likely say the Olevia will crap big on the Viewsonic.

Thanks for the info since I was almost dead set on getting the viewsonic due to the name brand. The viewsonic was sold out at Fry's but I think they had the olevia. Im going tonight after work to possibly get it.
