How is the extended cut or whatever its called of Nightbreed? I enjoyed the original back in the day.
You guys should check out this gem of a movie. It’s only 56 minutes long and is absolutely fantastic
Sputnik unfortunately ended up being a big disappointment for me. I really liked the creature's design and CGI, but the movie is a series of incredibly dumb decisions by the female lead...she's risked her life TWICE and then actually wanted to help the creature escape along with its host. I facepalmed several times during the course of the movie.
Local VOD service, I don't think it's available on sites like Netflix or Amazon yet.I'm still excited then, dumb decisions don't affect my enjoyment of horror, it'd be a tough genre if they didn't. Where did you view it?
Quite possible. It's been a minute since I looked last. Shudder had the second movie and the series. They had creepshow on shudder and hbo max I think.

I believe Creepshow 1 & 2 are both on Shudder. Never seen the sequel.
The raft is great. I have a soft spot for "The Crate" in the original. Adrienne Barbeau kills it.Sequel is worth it for the Raft segment, best Creepshow segment in either film... but the rest of the film is kind of weak.
Finally took the time and watched The Thing(1982). Holy hell does it hold up well. The practical effects still look creepy to this day.... also Kurt Russell is the man.
Might watch Silent Hill: Revelations next. It bombed pretty hard, but I think it would be worth a watch for atmosphere alone. Plus, for some reason bad horrors like in the 4-5/10 range aren’t too bad. I’ve watched all of Troll 2, so I’m immune to bad taste in this genre now. It’s all interesting to some degree
Thanks. What would you rate it out of ten?
8 out of 10
I had thought all this time that you had rated Silent Hill: Revelation an 8/10 by mistake. So for like a month and some days, I had it in my mind that a hardcore horror fan (im assuming you are at least) had thought pretty highly of this sequel. So I was fairly excited to save it all this time and had something great to look forward to when I watched it. I watched the film yesterday and I could not believe it. It's the worst film I've ever seen in my entire life. Even worse than Troll 2I thought it was a shit sandwich/10 (silent hill revelations), first one is good, tho!

I don't know how the director managed it, but literally nothing hit. I don't think the director did a single thing well at all. The only thing done well, was the small role that Sean B took on in the film playing Heather Mason's father, Harry Mason. Even then, I can tell he must have done and went to every trick in the boat to save himself from sheer embarrassment from the unholy, inept 'vision' Michael J. Bassett had in mind for this film's nod to Silent Hill 3
I wouldn't give this movie even a 1/10 dead serious. I would probably give it 0.25/10 and I am not kidding. The movie is that terrible. I could not believe it. It's as if a student fresh out of high school was given the job to conceive this project as director, and said nah fuck it and hands the job to his younger brother just starting middle school. Everything is so unbelievably poor in this film that there is no other word for it other than disgraceful
Right from the start it was cringe city. And it stayed that way. The 0.25/10 I scored Silent Hill: Revelation is accredited to what the game has done and the work in the very first film, the first Silent Hill (2006). Without what was built before it, this film would literally be nothing. The director did nothing well. Even saying this movie is abysmal is highly overrating it, that how repulsively horrid this movie is. 100% on Michael J. Bassett, the director imo
Hate to even spend time talking about it, but thought I owed the world at large a major warning because the hour + 35 minutes you'll spend watching will no doubt be regrettably spent in the end once you see the credits roll. Not a joke at all, the film is as bad as I a saying, and worse
edit: I thought the first Silent Hill (2006) was pretty good btw, saw it in theaters way back. For a horror film, was very entertaining. Probably like a 7.7/10 I'd give it, maybe even an 8/10 if a bit more information were given in certain scenes that I thought were kind of neglected. Maybe it would have been different had I played the original Silent Hill for PS1 and had some information to go by
Agreed, it was a good movie. I think it's more of a historically-based thriller than a horror movie, but close enough in my book.
Heads up to anyone that hasn't seen it. The Clovehitch Killer is up on Hulu and it's fantastic. Probably one of my favorite horror films in the past few years.
It definitely deserves more love.

When you're done with the film, you can get some hot analysis by the RedLetterMedia guys if, you know, you're in to that sort of thing.
Today’s movie.
Yea I never heard of it before so I watched it on Shudder and again on tubi and it was awesome,I ended up buying it on bluray, just in case it’s taken out of those services.Love this one, I still think it's up on Amazon Prime. I'll have to get it another watch before it's gone.
Movie time
Yea it had some awesome gore effects To much for a young kid, especially that scene with the young kid in the sewer. This movie traumatized me as a young kid. Looking back I can't believe my parents let me watch it.
I thought The Babysitter was just fine. It is well-made, enjoyable enough, and the acting won't make your eyes roll straight out of the back of your head. The "twist" was pretty obvious to me, but it's nearly impossible for a contemporary movie pull off a great twist. So... I guess I would give The Babysitter three bags of popcorn and a box turtle in a Yankees cap. What did HorrorGAF think of the Netflix movie The Babysitter... I know it wasn't scary but it still seemed like a lot of fun.
We're getting a sequel in a couple months.
The Suspiria remake is fucking awful. Utter garbage.
