Horror month, Not counting RE, SH, and DS, what are the 5 single player horror game Remakes you want to see the most?

Not counting the Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Dead Space franchises since it'll be too easy as 99% of every poster's list is going to be just them. Also not counting multiplayer games, what would be the top 5 horror games you'll want a remake of the most assuming they're going to do a good job at it.

Mine would be in no order

Martian Gothic - RE Clone taking place on a Mars

Carrier - RE clone but takes place on and in a large Carrier Ship

Deep Fear - RE clone but takes place within a few deep underwater facilities.

System Shock 2

Extermination

Here's mine, what about your top 5 horror game remakes? Remember no multiplayer and no Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Dead Space.

After seeing Silent Hill 2 remake, I think we are getting very close to a point where the graphics and (especially) lighting can finally match the full vision of some of these past games. If it was possible I would want the following games all remade next generation with lumen/ray tracing to add to their horror.

Half-Life 1
Parasite Eve 2
Doom 64
Blue Stinger
Hexen

Deadly Premonition. It seems like this game is cursed. All the tweaks/guides on steam just to run this game on PC seems like a headache. People have resorted to emulating on rpcs3.

Would love to see a modern take on the Kenji Eno trilogy (D/Enemy Zero/D2) that still keeps the atmosphere and style of the original.

While I do think there's overreliance on remakes nowadays, there are some really flawed gems that deserve a second chance.

1. Rule of Rose
2. Obscure
3. Haunting Ground
4. Nocturne
5. Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth

System Shock 2 definitely deserves a remake, it's a shame we're only going to get a remaster.
Clive Barker's Undying with the same atmosphere.
I'm glad Nocturne was mentioned as I have very fond memories of this game.
Remakes of Elvira: Mistress of the Dark and/or Waxworks could be very cool. The og games were super creepy.
Nightmare Creatures was also very unique and it shouldn't be a forgotten IP.

You've got a good list. I especially liked Extermination back when I got a PS2. Not only the graphics were good for its time but it was rare to get a survival horror with control that doesn't suck. The icy mountain setting was novel and cool.

Directed and co-written by the creator of Silent Hill, Keiichiro Toyama.

Yes, I know that it's already a remake of the first Siren game, but it's 16 years old and trapped on the PS3.
Would love to see Sony showing the ip some love. I believe the PS2 version of the original game is coming to Playstation Plus this month, so that's a good sign.

Edit: Also thumbs up for Condemned. It's a shame Bloodshot isn't backwards compatible.

Scratches is fantastic. I need to play it again but not sure where to actually buy it from these days.
Oh they stopped selling it. My luck i have bought it years ago. Someone on Reddit said:

From a video I just watched with an interview with the creator of the game, he encourages people to pirate it because there's no way at all to buy it anywhere. He wants people to play it more than he wants money. He just asks that people add the game he and his team are developing now, Asylum, to their wishlist on Steam.

Not sure if true, but if a game is unavailable at all it sucks.

I'll have a look around to see if I can find a copy. Thank you. I've added Asylum to my wishlist - it looks like my type of horror.

Parasite Eve is probably my most wanted horror remake right now. The original still holds up but a remake on current gen hardware in the vein of Resident Evil would be fantastic.

Haunting Ground is another one that I want remade but I don't think Capcom have the balls to do it considering the current climate in the west. It would probably be altered heavily due to it's taboo subjects and sexual undertones and then it's pointless. I would even take a simple remaster or re-release because it still holds up quite well and it deserves to be released from PS2.

There is a lot more but this would be a nice 5 to have first.

Edit:
After posting, Metroid Fusion came to mind, the game actually have some cool horror feeling about it, a Dread style remake would be a dream.

Funny you should mention Parasite Eve...I've just started it. Opening scene in the opera house was pretty harrowing!

It escapes me why Capcom hasn't remade Dino Crisis in RE engine. Considering every so often they send out a poll asking fans if they want it and I'm pretty sure the answer is always definitively yes....what the fuck are they waiting for??
