I just saw a new ad for Hydroxy Cut on TV. I suppose they "fixed" it since that recall a few months ago. I still don't trust it. Don't want my liver to rot or my heart to explode...

Then don't use it?
Is there an issue here? Did they offer you a deal you couldn't refuse?

If you're determined to get in better shape, then eat better and exercise more.

If you want to do it fast, go whole hog and get some steroids.
You could PM Docpan for further info.

Some of that shit has to work though, no?

They can be effective, but it's not uncommon for people who take them to want instant gratification. I mean, that's kind of the point in using a pill anyways, right? This leads to people taking more than the recommended amount and getting the jitters/shakes to achieve the fast results. It can also go the other way, where the person taking the pills uses them as a counter-balance to bad food. Either way, I tend to believe the pills inherently have some efficacy, but the target demo are apt to abuse or misuse them.

I tried them in addition to working out a few years ago and it curbed my appetite and gave me more energy, but at the expense of bumping up my heart rate, increasing my anxiety, and making me want to gorge myself with food to make it stop. I went through not quite 2 bottles before I decided to throw them away and just stick with diet and exercise.

I imagine they can be pretty useful for responsible lifters/athletes who are trying to get more cut or help shed the last few pounds they're trying to get rid of.

Oh yeah, that's what I meant. Some of them have to work if used properly. People that use them for instant gratification or counter bad food are just retarded.

I'd never pay for anything like that (at least now that there's no ephedrine in it). Ever seen the documentary Bigger, Faster, Stronger? Snake oil.

people speak without even using the shit. Hydroxycut will play with your appetite and give you some energy. Throw some exercise in there and you got easy results.

If its a nutritional supplement, no. If you wonder why the FDA doesn't have as much control over them as they do pharmaceuticals, ask Sen. Orin Hatch.
