I guess I just didn't feel it because I actually had some pretty severe pain countering it. Oh well, good for me I guess. Never want to get anywhere near stuff like that if I can avoid it.

Yup.. that's generally been my experience.

When I was in severe pain.. I felt pretty much zero high. I had to set an alarm for every 4 hours to ensure I'd actually take my 20mg dose.. because if I actually slept for say.. 6 hours.. I'd wake up in the worst pain imaginable. Like crying on the floor in agony.

Then just a couple months later I got ahold of some for recreational purposes.

Took about 20mg a day for a week or so.. felt high as hell.. as well as some pangs of addiction once they were gone.

It's an entirely different experience if you are actually in extreme enough pain to be prescribed Oxy.

Amir0x got his from a drug dealer.. from a tooth ache. He's not honest with himself about how he is responsible for his addiction, and he's addicted because he wanted to get high.. not because he had a toothache.

Ami, you and I haven't always seen eye to eye but you really should put aside that money weekly and get some treatment rather than kicks. If you really are getting married, you shouldn't bring that kind of extra baggage into a life long relationship.

lol 400 for an oxy habit ant shit... it depends on the mg on the pill an oxy 30 is 30 dollars is some places... they use to make 180mg which went for 200$ a pill on the street...

I just read the few first pages on this thread and I got to say, many of you folks are way too hard on Ami. He has gone through a terrible ordeal and it's understandable that he needed to alleviate some of his difficulties every once in a while to help things up. I do agree to some of the posters here, however, that spending 400 bucks for drugs is not an adult/responsible thing to do, especially considering his current situation. Yes, I think that's wrong too, but some of you folks seriously need a lesson on better tack in how to give advice to troubled people.

I hope someday Ami can get rid of his drug addiction.

really, when you guys bring up my job, you're just being cruel. They would put me in rehab, as per my contract, but in either event, it is crossing the line. There is no reason to suggest such things.

i didn't want to respond again but this is really crazy to suggest something like that because I took recreational drugs. I have a problem and I will be addressing it, but please keep it addressed to me. Don't make this an even bigger problem than it already is for me.

Whatdayaknow???..Do you guys fall for the person asking for money for a "cab home", or the guy in the parking lot that "needs some money for a can of fix a flat", but he's there every day of the week? I guess the saying that a fool and his money are soon parted is around for a reason.

You got money for 400 bucks of pills, you should be refunding any and all money received. That'd be the right thing to do. But instead, blame, divert, rationalize responsibility away...drug addicts are all the same..sorry the truth hurts...And you have no one to blame but yourself.

Yep, one lesson learned and as bad as that is, no one has a right to intrude on him and try to mess with him personally. Again, this is getting to the point of crossing that line.

i am no longer obese, sorry. Lost my weight well over a year ago. Old news man.

But you guys are being ridiculous. I never even got to touch the money! It went directly into my Mom's paypal account, and then she got it sent directly to her bank account. I was never even in a position to touch the money. I have a picture of her in a dialysis chair thanking neoGAF, and you think she's in on the conspiracy too?

You guys are just being mean to be mean, piling on on top of piling on because you have the internet and a crowd. I am sorry that I offended anyone. I clearly need real help with my drug problem. But the money went to my Mom and no one else. I used my whole savings to help my Mom; neoGAF fundraiser was a last resort.

I will not make that mistake again (edit: in reference to making light of my drug use). I am going into rehab and hopefully in time those who were offended can forgive me for my insensitive comments, because the money really did go to my Mom.

I'd imagine that it's a lot better to voluntarily go to rehab (for the sake of ones career) than to be forced into it.

Please stop rushing to judgment and think. This is part of the problem. I made a big mistake but people are rushing to pile on and not reading entire comments or thinking things through logically.

I am going to rehab voluntarily. Tomorrow I will make the phone call; I was in rehab once before and know who to call. I was just saying what would happen if someone tried to make an issue of this at my job. I would be a headache and I would be put in rehab (if I wasn't already in it at the time), but if I proved I finished rehab and tested clean I would be able to return to my position. It is part of our contract.
