If you can pick a theme or story not represented what would it be?

I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen this. But a horror game that takes place on Valentine's Day.

Surgeon simulator with difficulty that impresses Souls crowds lol

I want to play as a virus, constantly cloning and mutating myself, slashing down white blood cells and destroying gigantic organ bosses. I want to murder people microscopically.

open world racing RPG, set in the mid 80s to early 90s, in the Kanto region in Japan, with deep and realistic car customisation.

The idea of a higher power guiding you or hidden order and interconnectness to the universe, which isn't antagonistic.

seems to run fine on some proton versions. I'll definitely download it on there too
There's also Tokyo Xtreme Racer which released in EA recently. However it seems less focused on the "immersion" aspect of street racing, nor is it set in the 90s necessarely

I liked the older Tokyo Extreme Racer games, I am looking forward to the finished version of this one, but it's not quite what I mean.

when I say RPG, I mean it. like a racing game where racing isn't 100% of the things you do. racing should basically be the "combat system", and the customisation should be the equivalent of creating your class build etc.

there are games that come close to that idea, but I don't know a single one that actually went all the way with it.

I do know a few racing games that have you focus outside of just the racing aspect and make you do other stuff, like building your car or strolling through town to find places. As far as "kanto region 90s" is concerned, i guess Night-runners is the closest thing to it (since you do walk around your garage, build and buy your cars in person and interact with people to race)

Platformer where you play as a group of gear cogs that have to solve various problems by inserting yourselves in various mechanical things to proceed.

You are a game journalist struggling to make a living in California. No one reads your articles or cares about your opinions. You live in constant fear for your well-being due to online harassment. Picture Silent Hill: The Room. The ghosts of Asmongold and Grummz haunt you at night. You can't even take showers or sleep, plagued by the constant apparitions of white, straight, attractive, and voluptuous women rubbing their bodies against yours. Staying WOKE is one of the main systems/mechanisms of the game. You manage time; while you can skip sleep, it's something that can't be avoided forever. The longer you go without rest, the harder and more intense "the other side" will become; The Unwoken World.

Similar to Indigo Prophecy, but instead of an anxiety scale, there is a Gender/Mental Illness scale. You start as a non-binary game journalist and descend into the despicable state of the White Straight Gamer. You reach this status by failing several complex tasks in the game, like jumping and dashing to overcome obstacles or falling to find the seven diverse and inclusive tokens named after the seven colors of the rainbow hidden in the Unwoken World. When you do, the Ultimate Boss will appear: The Male Gaze. To fight this creature, you must type anti-gamer statements, the more unhinged, the better (like in The Typing of the Dead). Once you are inevitably defeated, a title card will appear, but instead of the famous "You Died", "You Gooned" will appear. The state between being WOKE and UNWOKE will fade away, and in due time, there will be no distinction.

This post reads like the text version of a closeted man's "beard."

i had to Google that...🤷🏼‍♂️

i think the word "represented" kind of trigger that idea

These people always talk about representation and the need to see oneself on "screen", and how media needs to represent the true diversity of the real world and how it's time for minorities to get to spotlight.

A video game that truly portrays the challenges of being a video game journalist, just like The Vailguard represented the challenges of being non-binary, would make "gamers" feel more empathetic toward this marginalized and attacked class

Now I want Manhunt x Antman. Just shrinking down and jumping inside someone's ear then destroying shit with slo-mo shots of them getting tossed around. Heavy physics.
