As someone who thought Doom Eternal was better than Doom, I have a stiffy on for the new Doom I can't lie. It'll be on PS on day one too so will probably review amazingly well.

I don't really expect much unfortunately.
I just wish I could choose my season in 4 when I'm offline.
What's worse is that Playground is UK based. At least the writing in 4 is miles better than 5. FH5 was such a huge disappointment in nearly every way for me. I don't understand how anybody likes 5 more then 3/4.

Anna Magle has been working at Playground Games on the new Fable since February 2021, but now she's been promoted: she's the lead story specialist in the game. Judging by his work experience, Megil will take care of himself in his new position like a fish in water.

- Creation, writing and editing of narrative content for Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. Ibid Megil compiled a 90-page "bible" with the history of the universe, and also monitored the dubbing process.
- Made the narrative and gameplay structure of Murdered: Souls Suspect, wrote the narrative content and created the lore.
- Wrote cutscenes, dialogs, lore, character biographies and researched knowledge bases for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate.
- Created the texts for Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and collaborated with the level designer to create a compelling connection between characters, missions and story.
- She was a leading specialist in storytelling at Control.
- She was the lead screenwriter for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Arguably my most anticipated publisher year
Almost everything in there I'm hyped for, except South of Midnight but that's also a question mark and waiting for impressions.
Playground Games will hit it out of the park with Fable I think. The humour and tongue in cheek seems on point and very british. Playground games will also deliver a graphical masterpiece as they always deliver.
Avowed imo will change a lot of opinions when released, like Indiana Jones. Book February for receipts.
And DOOM, I mean cmon

- Series X large price drop due to lack of units sold.
- Series S cleared from stores inventory (Jez Corden complains)
- Gears of Wars Trilogy ported to Steam / PS5
- Gears of War - E-day release date.
- Everwild resurfaces (RARE is still unsure what it is)
- Phil Spencer apologies for something random.
- Avowed is a hit for Obsidian Entertainment.
- South of Midnight has a Spring release.
- Aaron Greenberg is given the boot. (fans rejoice)
- Fable is actually a great game.

Well I'm in fact more excited by 2025 games from Xbox more than any others.
2024 was great on Xbox, dozens and dozens of great multiplat games obviously and the temp/exclusives were great too, Hellblade II, Flight Sim, Indy, Stalker 2, a great year.
The system is still the best console for the Quick Resume feature.

I haven't played any of those games except Murdered: Souls Suspect. The narrative for that was fine, as best as I can remember. Nothing special, but serviceable. I'm glad they at least hired someone from outside the studio to do the writing, given what the fellow above said.
I see that she resigned from the project in July 2023. Maybe all the main writing/structuring was done at that point, I don't know.

I've quit from playing preachy political games or games made by weird/racist people. Would never give up my favorite hobby because of some rotten apples.
Woke stuff aside the big three seem to have something for 2025. A new console by Nintendo, quite a few cool games like DOOM or Gears from MS and I'm sure Sony will have something cool as well. Regarding the later they seem to be making a small, but noticeable push for games made in asia, which is very nice.

You clearly have bad opinions. It was a fucking UPS simulator & had inventory management that was a shitty excel tool simulator built in as a minigame. God that game was fucking awful and a huge letdown to a MGS fan who appreciates the bonkers Kojima stories.

I personally have no issues with the game regardless was just pointing out what sort of games that person has an issue with.

No, the Tsushima DLC was Iki Island. Yotei is an actual sequel. Sucker Punch said they want every game to be self contained.

Xbox: Great controller but no good games as all games are going to PlayStation or Nintendo. PlayStation: Great games with a controller that's too big but has cool trigger effects in some games. Nintendo: We just keep making good games forever and our controllers kind of suck. But hey as for Xbox any good games? Nah, if Microsoft was smart they'd just go we are pulling out of the gaming market and leting go of Bethesda and Activision with there own CEOs voted in.
